Since 2010, NVO has been rocking the scene with a steady assault of guitar, bass, drums, synthesizers and whatever else they find to channel the funk. The group takes an organic path to groove creation, always dissecting and reconstructing their sounds with the freshest tech. The resulting fusion of bass-heavy rock, sci-fi funk and rave-hop epitomizes the NVO sound as they blast you into space. 

The quartet has taken their unique live-electronic style and sound one step further with their latest release, “The Signal,” wrapping their wildly digital synth beats around analog guitar, trumpet, drums, and vocals. Out on Mallabel Music, The Signal features collaborations with Lateef the Truthspeaker and Eko Zu. 

NVO’s previous release, “Night Vision Odyssey” rapidly rose up the Beatport charts, ranking in the top 10 for Electro House and Chillout, and top 25 for House and Electronica.

Chuck Jones is a San Francisco-based DJ dedicated to making the world a funkier place. From clubs to warehouses to Burning Man to your Nana’s anniversary party, you’ll find him playing fun, funky, feel good music for the people.  He is a resident DJ of the Janky Barge art car collective as well as a member of the live electronica band NVO.  He has opened for acts like Diplo, Dirtybird’s Ardalan, and MC Hammer. One time he gave the reggae band Toots and the Maytals a ride to 7-11 to get snacks. He finds it difficult to write about himself in the third person.
