To listen means to hear with the inner ear to its subtlety. The vibe it reverberates. It’s a way of mediation to focus solely on the snake. Like all energy is just focussed on a singular point of the 🐍 soul. The deep point inside it. Like a dot. Like an iridescent light emitting from that dot. When the focus becomes firm on that iridescent ness then we don’t need to even listen. The energy is just there like sunlight. It’s everywhere. But to get to everywhere we need to focus that specific point. Iridescent point. Singular, firm, don’t let the mind sway. If it sways pull it back to that singular point. Then truth will reveal itself as supreme happiness. This is what listening to the 🐍 means. Chill

We got to know Siru and his music last year when he was preparing for a gig at Abstrakt. His mixture of melodic down tempo, dark disco & indie house immediately impressed us. Since then, he has not only played various venues in Berlin, but also celebrated his festival debut at the Mystic Creatures Festival. A set that completely took us away. For episode #106 we have the pleasure of hosting the duo Maqām!

Maqām, born from a decade-long passion for electronic music and a wide range of influences, emerged in late 2019 as a duo with a distinctive take on organic house. Drawing from their North African and Middle Eastern heritage, they weave a 4/4 music concept enriched with cultural influences from around the globe.

The Halifax based DJ's have a deep appreciation of electronic music culture and always aim to deliver sets featuring diverse instrumentation, eccentric vocals, rhythmic percussion, all wrapped in a melodic soundstage complemented by groovy basslines. Continually demonstrating varied scope and versatility in the fabric of their programming, they always seek to capture you in their eclectic tapestry of sound.

Recently gracing stages at various festivals as well as local venues on the east coast of Canada over the past five years, they eagerly anticipate continuing to share their unique and uncompromising sound with listeners of Hidden Garden. This set was recorded at a recent show with SEVN in Halifax, enjoy!

Madloch's Sound Avenue is thrilled to welcome Maltese duo Huts On Beaches to the label for their debut EP Seasons, featuring two refreshing melodic progressive house cuts that showcase their unique sonic signature.

Hailing from the island of Malta, Karl Gauci and Keith Bunce first crossed paths a decade ago during a serendipitous search for a vintage Korg MS-10 in Birkirkara. This chance encounter blossomed into a creative partnership that saw them collaborate in various projects, most notably with local electronic band CRUX, where they shared stages with international acts like Alphaville and Uriah Heep.

The duo's journey as Huts On Beaches began taking shape in 2022, when they channeled years of accumulated ideas into their first productions. After honing their craft at Malta's renowned Temple Studios, they unveiled a series of well-received tracks, including Coastal Signals and Flying over the French Riviera, establishing their reputation for atmospheric, meticulously crafted electronica.

Their Seasons EP for Sound Avenue marks an exciting new chapter, with the title track and Cycles demonstrating their evolved production approach: blending organic musicality with the energy of progressive house. As they continue working on new material in their Maltese studio, this release positions Huts On Beaches as one of the most promising emerging acts in the melodic house sphere.

DJ Kart (India) music flows across diversified genres, with groovy bass lines, sprinkled with warm melodies, splashed with percussive breaks complemented by yogic overtones from India, Central Asia without an identity. Get intimate and wild with yourself. Energy is key. Love.

I started DJing in 2018 in Shanghai. My early gigs were more as a Kizomba DJ. I used to play typically more groove more soul more jazz within the Kizomba beat which was different, more tougher to dance but more mysterious for the dancers. This slowly got me doing more Bohemian and I started to add basslines which I started to call Bohemian Deephouse as it’s what I felt. 

I then started to train in Shaolin Kungfu but more on the softer side like Yi Jing Jing, Ba Duan Jin, Chan Gou Rou Quan and this started to influence my style as I started to infuse more Buddhist and Hindu Mantras in the sets I started to play and what was Bohemian was getting more into the Spiritual exploration path. 

I typically play only once a month as I need to meditate on a concept which the universe sends to me and make the arrangement, the storytelling, the vibe in line with what I meditate cos I believe if your firm in your thoughts fixated on one object the universe listens to you and it gives you the vibe for you to share. It’s just pure universe reverb.
