Been meaning to _cross_ this one off my list *snorts*. Also some context, this is a remix of a song I kinda fell in love with a few weeks ago, named "Villa Volta". It's random as hell & like, also a tune from the 90's but I really wanted to remix it. Coincidentally, I also binged the entire Xtale comic and Underverse series in one night, and now had a reason to write something epic, and what better than to write something for Underverse (･ω<)☆

This is 35 hours of work, making it the most time I've ever spent on a single remix, in my entire life of writing music. Villa Volta has a very intriguing and beautiful melody, and combined with my struggle of working with orchestral elements (to which I seem to use quite rarely, I do love me some bass, probably a bit too much), this made for one difficult remix.

And a side note about the series, Nyx & Stereo did a lovely job composing the ost. That was one of things I was definitely interested in with watching Underverse, as I knew the soundtrack was original, and nothing intrigues me more than original osts, whether they be fan games or animated series. There are a lot of details and unique atmospheric sound design work that I was pleasantly surprised with, and I look forward to seeing what I can do with these melodies. I have my eye on a few in particular, and I think we'll be seeing some underverse stuff on the channel here very soon.

Also wanted to note, not really important to the vid at all, but when Ink travels through those paint puddles my splatoon radar goes absolutely bonkers. Is he a kid? Is he a squid? What is he _really_ hiding? There are questions that need answers ( • ̀ω•́  )✧

Aw Yeah! Underfresh was definitely one of the most popular requests across my last few vids so I thought I'd work on this AU first! Interesting fact about this track, I actually started something back in July, got about 50% done with it before I realized it wasn't the direction I wanted it to be in, so I saved that project for later (or may rework it into something else entirely) and started a new project and ended up with this. The drops were overhauled completely twice (as in, I was indecisive af and reworked them) In total this was a 27 hour track with a very slow decent into insanity because I couldn't figure out the direction of the drops, as I had several ideas I wanted to do but didn't know which to settle on. Good news is, now I have plenty of ideas for when I decide to revisit original music for underfresh (`•ω•´๑)

And thank you for the many suggestions on Malevolence! I had a ton of requests for AU's I recognized, but also a few that I was unfamiliar with or didn't know about at all. I've gone through and taken a closer look at many your suggestions and have my own list I've been putting together. I'm particularly interested in underrated AU's as well, so feel free to suggest ones that may not be as well known yet! I think there's some really good stories out there that have yet to be discovered & I would love to write music for (ง •̀ω•́)ง✧

[Underfresh Original] SharaX - Pandemic

Hullo! I wasn't really sure what to do for Dream initially, but I guess that's how this original series has been going so far with each of these characters (｢･ω･)｢ I knew I wanted to do something with bells, a harpsichord, & piano somewhere etc, but I didn't want to write a track that was too mellow, at least not for these first attempts.  An uplifting progression was a natural choice, but I didn't want something that was too "happy go lucky" cheery as this track included part of Malevolence's melody (and could be a bit out of context if I were to style this track to be rainbows and unicorns, per say). I styled the drop at 1:00 to have more "2010 pop-sounding" lead with a lighter bassline, as I wanted the focus to be on the instruments rather than the bass in my other stuff. Overall took about 15 hours & am very happy with the result!◝(⁰▿⁰)◜

[Dreamtale Original] SharaX - Benevolence

Hullo! Wanted to do something original for Underfell this time (๑•̀ㅂ•́)و I also don't have a ton of experience working with electric guitars so this was good practice. I also found out I can automate the tempo to have it change midway through a track and this gives me far too much power, someone better take this away from me quiCK- ＼\ ٩( ᐛ )و /／

Actually I probably won't abuse it much, but it's fun to tinker with every now and then. But it's far too dangerous. Far too much power. Only a real musical psycho would do this so often, and it's a blessing we don't have any of those around here (｢･ω･)｢
