So Kindly emerges from the grass-root origins of small town, Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. Committed to vulnerability and a protector of honesty, he weaves through themes of love, loss and the human condition all characterized by his African upbringing - captivating the hearts of those who cross paths with the music, converting the casual onlooker into an ardent supporter of a man chasing a dream. 

With rushes of warm instrumentals, dynamic arrangements, lush guitar and distinct, earthy vocals telling it how it is, his musicscape is reminiscent of Springsteen, Dire Straights and Paul Simon, all whilst harnessing the essentials of radio-ready contemporary music. 

With over 2 million streams, and 170k yearly listeners on Spotify alone, 1883 Magazine describes him as "An emerging talent to keep an eye on." His releases "Send Me a Sign" and "The River" earnt him recognition featuring in magazines and blogs such as; Notion, 1883 Mag and Wonderland. His latest offerings "All I Own" and "These Four Walls" have gained notable traction on South African radio since their release. 

In late 2022, So Kindly joined forces with gold-record producer Jonathan Gilbert travelling to LA to record new material at Gilbert's studio, Wildflower Sound. The two have crafted a fresh rock-inspired sound that amalgamates the charm of So Kindly's earlier work with modern music innovation. These new songs offer an intimate look at the sacrifices, struggles, and heartache of pursuing one's life's calling.

Vijay, whose real name is "Olivier" is the owner and producer behind the projects Vijay & Sofia but also Parallel, White Milk as well as TRIBU recently signed with ARMADA for 3 years.
Reaching over a million clicks per month on Soundcloud alone, his various projects reach enormous statistics for an underground artist.
Through official remixes for DAFT PUNK, MOBY, FEDER, CAMELPHAT, MOGUAI, HOOVERPHONIC and collaborations with artists like Vintage Culture, Rodriguez Jr, Camilo Franco, Chemical Surf, Nico Pusch to name a few as well as production for "THE VOICE" or to set to music reports for the famous "NEW YORK TIMES".
Vijay navigates between Dance-Floor, Nu-Disco, Deep-House, Afro-House, Melodic and Ethnic productions with a melodic line of his own that always manages to take you on a journey.

Vijay is also the originator of several unofficial remixes of artists like Asaf Avidan, Daft Punk, John Newman, Kiesza, Ben Howard, 2Pac, A$AP Rocky, Duke Dumont, Gabriel Rios, Buena Vista Social Club, Queen , Nicolas Jaar, and many others reaching several million plays and distributed for free on Soundcloud.

Since 2021, Vijay has become an ambassador for Ableton in the Walloon region and helps several young artists to carry out their musical projects.
And being a drummer originally, he also accompanies his performances with percussion shows.

Vijay is currently working on his new project "V&S", a new duo with which he will soon be on tour exploring new musical horizons.
