Beelzebub argues for Satan's plan to fight God by attacking His new creation. All agree. Sin and Death, Satan's offspring open the gates of Hell for him. He passes through the realms of Chaos and Eternal Night to this pendant world.

Paradise Lost  Book II

After his expulsion from Heaven, Satan, awakening in Hell, summons his fellows; they all, after building Pandemonium, gather inside and prepare to debate their future.

Paradise Lost  Book I

God, foreseeing, Man's fall accepts His Son's offer to die for Man's sin. The Angels in Heaven praise the Son. Meanwhile Satan lands on the Sun and tricks Uriel to point him the way to Earth and Adam's abode.

Paradise Lost  Book III

After a crisis of conscience, Satan finds Adam and Eve asleep. In a dream he tempts Eve to eat of the forbidden fruit. Discovered in this act, guardian angels bring him to Gabriel who faces him down.  Satan leaves the garden.

Paradise Lost  Book IV

Awakening, Eve tells Adam of her dream. He soothes her and after they pray they work in the garden. Meanwhile God sends Raphael to warn Adam and Eve of their danger. After eating, Adam questions Raphael who then recounts the creation of The Son and of Lucifer's rebellion.
