All songs are written, composed, produced and performed by Mr Basis.

Heres How I Work:

I start by making the instrumental. The first stage of making the instrumental is the progessions (the long slow notes), Next comes the drums.

Once I have a progression and some drums, I turn my microphone on and freestyle a flow to the basic beat I have so far. This is to find the lyrical pattern and flows. This contains a mix of freestyle lyrics and little bits of improvisation or skatting if I cannot think of a word fast enough.

Next I go over the freestyle layers I just recorded and fill the blanks with the words I couldnt think of on the spot.

The next stage is redevloping the song to make it all fit one theme, The lyrics are developed again to fit one theme for the song and more complex rhyme schemes added with other writing techniques such as alliteration, (Using the same letter more then three times), for example in one of my songs "Sun Set Spilling Through the trees, Song birds Singing from the Streets", the letter used for alliteration here is S. Anyway, the lyrics are redevloped with more complex writing techniques etc. 

All songs featured on the Soundcloud are works from my early studio sessions, I have a finished product for all of these songs that will be available later on in the year, this is just a way to get my studio sessions heard, ready for when I am ready to release.

"Welcome to my world... the normal is not needed" -Tone
I started out in 1993 in Cincinnati when I was eight. Rapping and producing songs for my self and my friends. A beat machine and a Casio tape recorder from radio shack rapping in a cold basement day in and day out. I take this gift god gave me very seriously. I was the in-house producer/ artist for a Cincinnati label called “beat me up records” from 2003-2010. Within that span, I produced over a thousand songs (some of what you hear on the beat em presents tone and polo page). The labels 2006 independent movie “fish” I had a small role in and produced the movie score and soundtrack. As a free agent and these past few years I would say I grew a whole lot musically and personally. I moved to Atlanta to spread my wings professionally and personally. I see myself reaching endless proportions for the reason im chasing my passion. Moreover, not what my passion could bring. My ultimate goal is to become a major for in the entertainment industry. I have got the work ethic, the product, the answer to the demand, and last but not least, the truth.
