L.A. songwriter/producer Gordon Pogoda has had worldwide success in all aspects of the music business. In film, Pogoda's credits include two songs featured in the Academy Award winning motion picture "Little Miss Sunshine" (both songs featured in the pageant scene), the top 5 film "Josie and the Pussycats", "Longshot" featuring Britney Spears & Justin Timberlake, as well as a Disney film and several others. In television, Gordon's songs have been featured in over 120 shows such as "Hannah Montana" (the song "If Cupid Had a Heart" performed by Selena Gomez), "Sex and the City", "American Idol", "The Voice", "CSI", "Medium", "ER", "Will and Grace", "Twilight Zone", "King Of The Hill", "Everwood" and the Disney shows "Kim Possible" and "Suite Life of Zack & Cody". 

On CD, Gordon's songs can be found on major labels like Universal, Warner Brothers and EMI, and he's had many platinum and gold records around the world -- Gordon has had the 2nd biggest hit of the year in the biggest country in the world - Russia (it's one of Russia's 20 biggest hits of the 2000's), as well as songs recorded for the European version of "American Idol". He's also had platinum records with the Australian "Popstars" group Scandal'us, the Greek "Popstars" group Hi-5, Finnish female hard rock band Tiktak, and he's had a song in a major European event often called "the Olympics For Songwriters" -  Eurovision,  representing the Czech Republic (where it was a top 5 hit) and heard and seen by over 400 million people across Europe and Australia. It's very rare for an American composer to have a song represented in this prestigious event. Gordon's songs have also been featured in many Disney releases --  films, TV shows, CDs and DVDs, and he has had a top 10 hit on the U.S. Christian singles chart with sister group Aurora and another by Award Winning artist Natalie Grant. From starting his career as an assistant sound engineer, to his recent compositional material for Disney, Martin Wright has worked in all aspects of creative music and music technology with an energy and professionalism that has allowed him to work with influential companies, producers and musicians.

Whilst working at Orion Studios in the early 90’s, Martin co-produced ambient Electronica pieces during the studio’s down time. Under the alias ‘Insanity Sect’ he contributed to Beyond Records compilation series ‘Ambient Dub’. These albums, critically acclaimed at the time, have gone onto to be cult favourites amongst successive generations of Electronica fans. ‘Ambient Dub Vol.2’, featuring Martin’s composition ‘Subliminal Air ‘ received a place in The Guinness Book of hit albums as a best seller of 1993. Insanity sect received rave reviews from The NME, Melody Maker and many other music journal of the time.

Insanity Sect featured on the first ever CD-ROM based digital magazine. U.S. based ‘Substance – Digizine’ used examples of Insanity Sect ‘Choctaw Ridge’ to explain the genre of Ambient-Dub in an interactive AV article.

Martin has also produced ambient music for US label Waveform and has sold around 60,000 units to stateside to date. Much of the music from this period still receives regular radio play. In 2008, U.S. chat show host Conan O’Brien placed Insanity Sect’s ‘Late Night’ at number one in his own personal iPod top ten during and NBC online interview.

As Martin’s work moved into the mainstream he received attention firstly from credible label Forth & Broadway, who signed his Drum ‘n’ Bass project in early 1997, then secondly Radio 1 DJ’s Fabio & Grooverider who championed his first release on radio programme ‘One in the Jungle’.

Following this success came a signing to Island records, under the alias ‘The Quest Project’. Martin co-produced an album with Al Stone (the hugely successful producer behind such artists as Stereo MCs, Bjork and Jamiroqui) Their work together was to be most successful on a single that featured then unknown singer Sian Evans, who’s subsequent MTV exposure through the video of that single allowed her to go on to front the top-ten charting band Kosheen.

During this period Martin also remixed not only his own work, but also a diverse range of artists including US Hip-Hop pioneer Kurtis Mantronik, EPMD, Brandy and Mase, and the Beastie Boys, his work being showcased on everything from underground white label promo’s to full international releases.

In 2000 Martin began lecturing on the subject of music production and working within music education. During this period he helped to build the successful East Coast Music Academy. Martin enrolled and mentored students such as Kim Gee, who, during her time at ECMA, got to be one of the last ten contestants in Pop Idol 2003, and Liam Wade who now plays guitar for Courtney Love.

In 2006, Martin was commissioned to produce music for the Disney ‘Meet the Robinsons’ film soundtrack. Working as part of a music production team, he co-produced ‘Kid’s of the Future’ for Disney’s new signing the Jonas Brothers. The video for the song premiered worldwide on Disney Channel and it has received more than 6.8 million plays on YouTube and was featured on the 1.8 million selling album ‘Jonas Brothers’.

Working with-in the same team, Martin added his production skills to the theme tune for TV show ‘Famous Five: On The Case’. The show has had international success through its ongoing popularity on The Disney Channel Europe.

The main motivation in Martins career has been to contribute creatively to interesting and challenging projects. This attitude has led him to expand into sound design for animation most notably on ‘Viva Voodoo’ online video game through a collaboration with award-winning web-design company Digital Outlook.

Martin has a rare energy for both creativity and achievement. He is a perfectionist who brings originality and fun to any assignment or project. He is a determined leader and a spirited team player to whom success is key.
