My name is Pablo Escobar, and I was born in Rionegro, Colombia, in 1949. Growing up in Medellín, I knew I wanted more than the life around me, so I turned to crime. In the 1970s, I saw an opportunity in the rising cocaine trade and seized it. I built a drug empire, the Medellín Cartel, that would make me one of the richest and most feared men in the world.

My business thrived, smuggling tons of cocaine into the United States. At the height of my power, I controlled 80% of the world’s cocaine market. My wealth was unimaginable—I built lavish estates, including my infamous Hacienda Nápoles, complete with exotic animals and luxury beyond imagination. I bribed or killed anyone in my way, from police to politicians. They called me "El Patrón" because I ruled with both fear and generosity. I built housing for the poor and donated to charity, earning loyalty from many Colombians.

But my empire attracted attention. The Colombian government, backed by the U.S., hunted me relentlessly. In the early '90s, I agreed to surrender under one condition—I’d serve time in my own luxury prison, La Catedral. But I escaped when the government tried to move me.

For months, I was on the run, but the hunt never stopped. In December 1993, they finally tracked me down in Medellín. As I fled across rooftops, I was shot and killed. My legacy is one of violence, wealth, and tragedy. I changed Colombia, but not for the better, leaving behind a bloody history that echoes through the streets even today.
