Village Session l 003 | Phobia l MTA l Sigi l Shottes l F.O.X

Getting his humble beginnings at the age of 14 with his first copy of FL Studio, Jersey-born @Xylym quickly discovered a keen interest in music production. This initial interest, and through the influence of his friends, led to his discovery of Drum and Bass, and no sooner had he discovered this fast paced, technical genre, did he know that he had to start making it himself. This love for the technical aspects of music eventually took Mitch to London to study music production seriously, and it was in London that he adopted the stage name Asylum before altering it to Xylym as we know him today.

Over the last few years, Xylym has seen a string of Neurofunk releases and collaborations on esteemed Drum and Bass labels such as Eatbrain, Blackout and Hoofbeats and more recently, his Critical Mass EP on Neuroheadz: his biggest collaboration project to date, collaborating with Neuroheadz Live themselves. Xylym has been more actively gigging this year, playing the mainstage at Neuroheadz festival, hosting his own Neurofunk boat party (colloquially dubbed “Xylym Fest”), as well as a series of bookings with Czech-based promoter: Bassproof. He now gears up for his first appearance with Neurosession at their Stonx label night, preparing to hit the crowd with everything he's got. Keep an eye on Xylym as he continues to scale new levels and expand his reach throughout the drum and bass scene.
