Hey, just thought I'd get out of the ROTN character for a minute to talk about the future of this project.

First of all, hello, hi, I hope y'all are doing well. Thank you so much for all of your support on ROTN for the past year I've had this up. I had no idea it would garner this much of a fanbase as small as it is, and it still feels surreal to be in a position where I can even be considered someone's inspiration.

However, as of recent, I have been struggling to continue making hyperflip, not because of burnout, but mostly because of how my relationship with it has changed. TL;DR, I'm scared that people will judge or have judged me and my music based off of the hyperflip I make, and thus my contributions will be downplayed and insulted. On top of this, the community has been getting more toxic to the point where I've left spaces like snare society and only kept within my group of friends.

This is combined with a struggle to try and move the audience from here onto Bandcamp, where all my aliases (and my main one) reside. I won't try to place blame on anyone, you usually listen to music where you first find it, but I also want to make some amount of an income from my music, and it gets difficult if the only place people listen to you is on another platform. It feels vain to complain about it, but IDK, its a complaint I have.

Because of all of this, I was originally going to make a paragraph talking about how I wanted to step away from hyperflip. But I realized maybe it isn't the music that needed to change; maybe it was my perspective. I had been so inundated with house to where I've kinda forgotten how to make that classic hyperflip sound, and I've been letting the toxicity of others get to my head even when I didn't intend for that to happen. So maybe I'll continue making music for this alias, maybe I won't. But no matter what, I'm going to make sure I come back with a fresher sound.

I have another ROTN album that's coming up soon. I'll be upfront and say its largely a love letter to Grave Robbing, one of my favorite albums of all time, and I hope you all will enjoy it once it releases in May. After this, I also have a huge album soon on Nico, my main alias, that I am way more extremely proud of.
