Mohammed is a 16 and currently living in temporary accommodation after fleeing his home country.
Even with these challenges, he has managed to maintain his talent on the piano and has just been accepted onto the prestigious Britten Pears Arts Aldeburgh Young Musicians course at Snape Maltings. Last week he began the course with a 3 day residency. I  went to meet with Mohammed to find out how he got on.

Abbas arrived in IPSWICH only just 5 months before stepping in front of a packed hall for the Suffolk Refugee Support AGM 2024.
He came with his sister and little brother and his mum. 
Of Afghan heritage they travelled from Iran, where they were living and made some treacherous trips and now are focused on a positive future here in Ipswich. Abbas chatted to me at the end of the event.
