This was a straight forward melody I wrote some years back which I’ve never wrapped up until I came across the famous poem “The Road Not Taken” few years ago.  I found that with very minor changes, the poem fit perfectly into my melody.  So the result is this song here which I now call it “Two Roads”.

Two Roads

Many years ago, at one point I accidentally noticed the chorus of some of my songs were inter-changeable. From then onwards, I made serious efforts for my songs to sound not so alike. I know I am not a decent singer but as a songwriter, I would be very glad if listeners can differentiate between my songs.

This new entry here is another love song mainly inspired by a drama. The purple rose is the closest song pic I could find as I think the petals do look like lips. Just see what you think.

I recall I wrote most of the melody of this song inside my head while travelling and on some pre-written lyrics.  However when I got down to the singing, I couldn't cope with some of the notes. Continuing with my revival project.
This is a new recording of a very old song of mine written back in my university days.   I studied engineering but I never practiced and eventually became a supply chain guy in the I.T. industry.   I hesitated in sharing this one because when I listen to it now so many years later, it really doesn't mean much. It was all aroused by the inferior complex of being in a second stream college.

The Castle

After completing the song, I found a noticeable spread between the highest & lowest notes.  So I had a hard time with the vocals.  I could have altered the notes to fit the voice but in the end I decided to go with the original.  Please bear with my singing.

The lyrics is extracted from a lengthy poem I came across on the web.
In the end, perhaps the plot doesn't make much sense anyway.  So let's assume it's just for the sake of making a song.   See what you think.

Make Yourself a Dream

Another song from my revival  project.  
There was a time when I travelled quite a lot by ferry and on sunny days, I would get carried away by the sparkling sunlight in the water.   In many occasions, I just ended with some new lines (words or notes) in my head.   This composition was one of those which started that way.
