No A.I. was used to create this track!

Around January 20th my friend from work asked me to prepare for him some music for his graphics reel project. And here is result. Mostly done in one evening. Original track has 36 seconds, however, for SoundCloud purposes, I extended this "track" and added a finish. Finally this track didn't find his way to final product, but I think it's a decent project to share ;)

Main hero of this track is still awesome, 18 years old, soft synth from Native Instruments - Massive. Beside that I've used heavily filtered Heavyocity Foundation Emotive Choir and couple of percussive samples from Ableton Live libraries.

The Scots song "Ae fond kiss" by the Scottish poet Robert Burns was written in 1791 in a letter to Mrs Agnes Maclehose (aka Clarinda) as a farewell, and to commemorate her and Burns' unconsummated love affair.

Burns' original setting of three verses in eight lines was set to the tune of "Rory Dall's Port". The musical score was published in the collection of Scottish folks songs known as the Scots Musical Museum.

Happy New Year to everyone - for the first time in years I went overseas without working on a project  YAY - just a holiday so i kept the internet at arms length for a change and enjoyed the food, romance  and sites of Paris... and then i got married !  Carolyn and I were waiting forever for our plane home and there just happened to be a bright red public piano in one of the waiting lounges... so i embarrassed myself in front of the Parisians... i look forward to catching up on all of yr music as I am now home. Fragile World

Dear friends, I hope you do not think this song is too ugly!
We have had an ever-increasing problem with serious crime in Sweden. A lot probably depends on the drug trade.
We have lived many, many years without war and are not so used to serious crime. Therefore, the legislation does not keep up with developments in recent years. Another problem is the international theft leagues. It is easy for them to transport stolen goods from Sweden because the customs authority is not allowed to check outgoing transports.

Fear
In vulnerable towns the residents feel fear
there are gangs that terrorize also old folks near their homes
the use of guns is widespread and smuggling of weapons is huge
the crooks also place several bombs in our streets just to frighten us

The people in charge - they have never seen our streets
The crooks are shooting young folks and they are burning our cars
They smile at us and they are promising that soon everything better will be
but we have waited so long that we shoudn’t be afraid and that our children are safe.

The laws in our country are as soft as melted cheese
and this country may be seen as an Eldorado for thieves
and if they get caught they will soon be free as birds singing in the sky
Another problem has occurred - a lot of prisons are teared down
so we let the thieves go. 

There are criminals from the east who are stealing things from us
they are loading machinery for to ship them abroad
and my neighbor he lost several tractors and the steering wheel is stolen from his car
and the customs cannot do anything to say stop because our laws they are soft

Fear

A place for sound freaks and aural addicts. 
Music is like food to me: I like almost everything as long as it's well-seasoned and I don't eat the same thing every day, although it happens when I feel like it. 

So there's all kinds of stuff on my page, but after months of schizophrenic debates about who was playing with who and who took the lead while doing it, finally, the decision was made: all my alter egos got together and decided to form a band. From 2020 on new tracks are created under the moniker Gruppo Infernal. Only pure MMTJ tracks will still be named as such. 

Gruppo Infernal still relies on my work as Me, my Thumb and Jack, an ongoing quest for a liberating approach to sound creation where the human body acts as an oscillator amplifying the natural 50hz hum. Direct live recording, improvisations and delay loops only using analog filters and effects. No editing, no overdubs. Gruppo Infernal adds digital treatment to this original sound material. 

UnterPitch was an alter ego using samples & synths.
Bleached Coffins was a one-off project using guitars.

The Baltic Sea is living dangerously right now! Scores of ships in deplorable condition transport oil across the sea. The risks are great for extensive oil disasters! I have made some songs for the Baltic sea just to make people understand the problems.

I write almost all of my songs, and I sing my songs and play the guitar and the harp - no more. My recording equipment is quite modest with a Furch guitar, Alhambra guitar, Röde microphone, Focusrite and Garageband. My studio is our guest room in our house.
I was young during the 1960s when Dylan became famous. I was a member of a folk song group during that time. I love Dylan´s music!! I was also a big fan of The Doors, Jefferson Airplane, Mamas and the Papas and several more singers. I like folk music and the old protest songs. I love the music
of Eva Cassidy. I was also a big fan of Björn Afzelius, and I love the music of Tom Petty. I am very inspired of the music of John Denver.
Bengt and certainly several 100 million people are intensively protesting against all evil around the world!
I love to sometimes write songs that are a bit weird and self-ironic!
You know that I am a novice in the "recording business", and sometimes I have to revise the songs.
My whole grown up life was occupied by my profession as a doctor in intensive care and anesthesiology. After that I have got the possibility to be dedicated to music. 
My songs are a matter of extreme happiness (Gretas song) and extreme sadness (Tough Year). I write all the music and lyrics except "As tears go by", "House of the Rising Sun", and songs by Evert Taube.
I love to leave some message with my songs!
I have no previous experience of writing fiction. I have, however, some experience in writing non-fiction. I wrote my thesis, and some chapters in a textbook in anesthesiology. I was also member of a group who introduced an education program in pediatric cardio pulmonary resuscitation for laymen in Sweden.
