This is my first composition for wind instruments, and is also the first time I compose for more than two instruments at a time. Any input or advice would be very much appreciated!!! Thank you!

Wind Trio, Third Movement

This wind quartet is my second chamber piece. Any suggestions are welcome (as I want to make sure that the piece is actually playable!)

The first movement is lighthearted, and is in ⅞ meter. The key of G major is unclear until the end of the movement.

Wind Quartet, First Movement

The emphasis at the start is on G (to make up for previous movement) in a G minor setting. It is short, and is rather elusive in character. The movement ends in C major, which leads to the next movement.

Wind Quartet, Second Movement

This movement is constantly shifting and discovering itself as it unfolds, so I didn’t assign a particular key center to this movement; it is like experiencing the world for the first time with fresh senses. It ends inconclusively, leading to the next movement.

Hi! My name is Megumi (my former name was “Lemon” on SoundCloud).

There is nothing more fascinating for me than not knowing what music will come out of me today!

Many of the pieces I upload here are for solo piano. (Some are performed by me, but the performances of the recent uploads are created on Staffpad app on my iPad.) My latest projects are a set of pieces for viola and piano, and 24 preludes & 24 etudes for piano. The scores for these are becoming accessible through the link that is provided in the description of the piece, so please check them out.

I am a classical pianist based in Canada. 
Having completed a master's degree in music theory and a doctorate in piano performance, I am currently teaching and composing. I am also learning viola for fun! I would love to meet and connect with other musicians and get to know your works!
