it's so funny how 1 is the first song on the project but the last one to be produced. with this jem, i really wanted to create something magical, create something outta this world, create a four minute feeling and that's probably why it was the last produced track. the feeling wasn't yet brewing. created untitled 88 to inkanyzi but still, that feeling was missing. had to juggle work, school and studio but still, i couldn't feel it. been robbed, ripped and finding myself in life threatening situations but still. had to hustle for a hustle, had to grind, had to work my ass off and send myself to college when my dad cut me off cause i chose music, but still, i wasn't there yet. created ilanga, create coffee, create nokuthula's song, but the universe still denied me. till on some day. i had usmall in the studio and actually me and him been try'na work on something. a song, beat, tape, i don't know, just something. cause we've been sharing ideas, vst's, samples, music, but we've never sat down and we were like, "ya, let's create." nah, none of that. session was unplanned, the day for some reason was busy, i had somewhere to be, but as we heard the first chord, arhh... it was done, finished, game over. but then again that's not the only way i want you to view this. i mean think about it, i've always been longing for this feeling ever since the first drafts of the ep. i been finding myself in obscure places subconsciously thinking i was gonna catch the idea there. trying to create a vibe. trying to make this feeling i didn't even know how to explain it. every song got produced before it so in other words, i was rushing to make this. chasing this feeling, till the feeling, chased me. so whatever feel you get listening to this, it's yours. i have mine, you now have yours.
