The Chilli Pepper vibe is for sure there with the guitars and the guitar lines. Never easy to nail this when trying to base a song on someone else's work  but you have! Love the bass line BTW.

With each of your pieces, you manage not only to convey a mood but also to transport the listener into your world. This track is a wonderful example. The opening takes you back to the time when cell phones didn't yet dominate the streets. He introduces the instrumentation in a relaxed manner, and by the first chorus, it's clear that things can be done differently... I absolutely agree with you, the Chilipepper style is there, but the Spencer Trowbridge style is far more powerful and, to my ears, more expressive... Cleanly differentiated and beautifully arranged instruments introduce your piece with a great bass and a great guitar section along with drums... Brilliant! It's just a lot of fun...
