Based in Berlin, Kruse and Nuernberg have become an integral part of the underground electronica scene, synonymous with tastefully crafted house music. The duo are notorious for working different influences and collaborators into their repertoire, and the release of 'Lost n Free' on March 10th continues their tradition of high quality output. This time, they have collaborated with British producer and songwriter Brolin, who has written a heart melting vocal for this release. As the lyrics and melody swirl across an uplifting instrumental, it becomes obvious that 'Lost n Free' is the soundtrack for those introspective, early morning moments. The B side, 'Doin It' takes the release underground with its pulsing synths and piano stabs that gradually build over contagious basslines and swung drum hits.

The boys have previously worked together on many projects and their synergy has inspired them to join forces as Breaking Beats. Having performed at clubs in the UK, across Europe and the USA, Breaking Beats take great pride and pleasure entertaining live. Most recently, they performed on the Main Stage at the Edinburgh Mela where they were humbled by a phenomenal response. The guys were also showcased and interviewed on BBC Asian Network when they were invited to produce a VIP Remix for the DJ Kayper Show.

“Ik Gera Ik Gera” is a Panjabi song intended to bring a smile to the listener. The chorus transliterated means, “Give me one dance”. Sung beautifully by Nimrata it paints a scene of a joyous party, a happy occasion and a dialogue of the attraction a girl feels towards a guy with whom she wishes to dance. Breaking Beats have carefully produced the song to sound authentic using traditional Panjabi instrumentation with subtle western sounds. For a more intense flavour, a drum and bass remix is scheduled to be released. Breaking Beats are also working on music featuring well known Asian artists to be announced soon, and the boys will also be introducing and showcasing some brand new talent from the UK & India. 2040 creates a great story with melodic melodies, which let you dream and move at the same time. Every sound seems to be at the right spot in timing and room. This makes their productions perfect. Short and longs synth mixed with dynamic shakers are creating a great dynamic. After releases on Amselcom, URS and Voltaire Music, they find their way now on to Plötzlich Musik.

Budakid took the song „sognante" and interpreted the song with the same mood, but with a different focus. He added a piano which is giving the whole song a new perspective. Even though his kick is a bit dryer, his remix is a bit more laid back than the original. Great work!

Sometimes DEBAL SOMMER could see for miles and miles across the groovy green valley, as his companion JEAN CAILLOU on the top of a mountain can see for miles across the melodic rocks. The branches and leaves would lash him across the face, and he and his two cows BREGER & TIMBOLETTI would move out for a spicy lunch. The 50th release on Sol Selectas Records comes from the label founder himself - Sabo, and features the musical talents of a mother & her son, as represented by the title Earth & Sun. Twenty year old Elijah Sage plays the ancient ravanhatta string instrument on the opening track "Young Wisdom", weaving an emotional mid tempo blanket to lie under the Sun.  "Obatala" is the story of the Sky Father Orisha, who creates all human bodies according to Yoruban mythology. The deep tribal groove is complemented by the vocals of Elijah's mother Nikila Badua, representing the roots of the Earth. 

Nicola Cruz from Ecuador, delivers a stellar remix of "Obatala"  taking us high into the Andes Mountains, where organic percussion and live marimbas flow like wind through the valleys. Blond:ish transforms "Young Wisdom" into a psychedelic tech house trip, adding infectious build ups and mind-altering  drums for peak time energy. And lastly Paris' Birds of Mind take us on a voyage into deep bliss with their ethereal reinterpretation of "Young Wisdom". 
The artwork by Helia Jamali, represents the loving balance between the Earth & Sun, and the energy they have created, makes the puppy flower dance in the desert wind.
