“Runaway” is the 2nd single and title track from Jennifer Silva’s forthcoming third album, and it tells the story of a young woman with a buffalo tattoo, stuck in her mundane life, who chooses to face her fears and follow the road less traveled. The American Buffalo takes center stage in this story, as these majestic creatures are known to charge in the rain – they instinctively know that they will spend less time weathering the storm if they just run through it, rather than away from it.  Silva uses this metaphor to explain how she felt about leaving her life in Brooklyn behind after 25 years and starting anew in Upstate NY… and to encourage her audience to face their own fears in life as well.
