Description: This (hopefully) sounds like a bagpipe march, but not so much as a single hairy knee was seen - the whole thing was composed and performed on a single synth for the monthly KVR One Synth Challenge.

Brave choice to go for a bagpipe sound which you have actually fairly well nailed when you started changing the sounds I feel like you got lost. For me the mix sounded a bit soft and muted too which is very much not what you would expect from a pipe band.  If I were you I would have after the single piper section gone the traditional super wide sound you get from a full band worth of bagpipes by cloning the melody and panning and detuning it multiple times.

apart from the amazing sound design - well done for bringing a very different sound to OSC. it's a nice break from all the electronica and dance music (which is what you'd expect from a synth club).

This hit the goosebump spot for bagpipes, excellent! My ears wanted to hear more edge or crispness to the percussion. Still a lovely and bold entry, well done sir!

Very cool sound design on those bagpipes and the sequencing style really nails the playing style of one as well. A very unique track and I like it a lot. The percussion is very ambitious and definitely has the profile of a snare band, but I find they sound a little distant and other percussion sounds a bit too modulated. Still, this is a great showcase of the synth's capabilities to do more unique sounds.

Great work -- nice to hear something different, and very well done!  Extra point for creativity!

my wife hears a lot of OSC entries - and she says this is the most impressive thing she's heard come out of OSC and it definitely should have won.

This instrument is fairly limited to basic subtractive synthesizer functions. It lacks modulation capabilities that even for such simple instrument are crucial (velocity for example). But it does the thing it was intended for pretty well. You can make great sounding analog basses, leads, arps with it. With the modern layering techniques it is quite easy to create complex patches. The VST itself is very stable and easy to use, and the CPU consumption is pretty moderate. I appreciate what the developers are doing to bring such quality instruments for a low price or even for free.

A typical synthwave track with my usual intent to create the "punchiest" synth drums. It has a lot of 90's (early 2000's) videogame music influences that I've grown on.
