Donald and Douglas' Theme (S6, V3)

the music of Sonic The Hedghehog was always one of the main inspirations behind the sound and identity of Landisles, with all the 16-bit palm trees, extravagant casinos, high speed chases through inter-spacial chemical plants and mystical floating islands explorations. Thus, here are two of our favorite tracks from Sonic The Hedgehog 3 (aka the game Michael Jackson secretly worked on) reworked à la Landisles.

Not perfect by any means, and I might go back to the intro at some point; I may also do Chris Renshaw's theme for them from Series 20 as well given how popular it is. ;)

Anyway, I always enjoyed the episodes and Donald and Douglas as a kid and hope to see even more from them following from last year's brilliant 'Love Me Tender'.

I am very pleased with the sound of this, and the first reponses I got on Discord were very positive.

This time around, I present to you the 2020 remake of my most popular theme music recreation on YouTube, The Flying Kipper from Thomas The Tank Engine & Friends. I think this is probably about the third or fourth version I’ve uploaded now, but I consider this to be my definitive version, complete with a music box-style opening and a dramatic feel to the main orchestration. I opted not to recreate the original ending to the music that leads up to the crash as I felt it didn’t end the positive, triumphant feeling of the music very well outside of the context of the original episode the music featured in.
