Re-listening to this interview with the late great Nicky Ryan, who passed away recently (September 2025) 🥲💭🎶 A great producer who had also inspired him, George Martin (The Beatles' producer) was alive at the time, died the following year. I hope all the updated studio equipment got some use before Nicky left... that newer Enya projects were just about finished and might be released 🤞though it's going to be different without the trio all present. 😌💭

Very fascinating interview. Nicky obviously has an incredible skill and amazing ears. He sounds like a really interesting and pleasant person. Enya's music and sound have had a major impact on my own compositions and work.

Can you hear what are the names of the microphones he mentions? I can't hear what's the first one. Later there are Telefunken and RCA ribbon microphones mentioned.
