If you have followed my music, you would know that Cliff Richard is one of my favourite artists.  I always wanted to do a dedicated Album featuring his music. So ‘Wired For Sound’ is my 43rd Studio Album covering Cliff’s music from the period 1959 to 2014.

‘The Minute You're Gone’ is a song written by Jimmy Gateley in 1963. It was recorded by Cliff Richard in 1965.

‘Living Doll’ is a song written by Lionel Bart made popular by Cliff Richard and the Shadows in 1959.

‘Angel’ is a song by Cliff Richard off the self-titled studio album and was released in 1965.

‘Maria No Mas’ is a song written by Carlos Lyra and first released by Cliff Richard, who sang a Spanish-language version in 1963.

‘Outsider’ is a song by Cliff Richard and released on Richard's fourth studio album ‘21 Today’ in 1961.

‘Don't Talk to Him’ is a song by Cliff Richard and The Shadows, released as a single in November 1963. It peaked at number 2 on the UK Singles Chart.

‘In the Country’ is a song by Cliff Richard and the Shadows, released as a single in December 1966. It peaked at number 6 on the UK Singles Chart.

‘Stood Up’ is a song written by Dub Dickerson and Erma Herrold. Cliff Richard released his version in 2014 from his Album ‘The Fabulous Rock ‘n’ Roll Songbook’.

‘Nine Times Out of Ten’ is a song by Cliff Richard and the Shadows, released as a single in September 1960.

‘Dynamite’ is a song by Cliff Richard and the Shadows, first released in October 1959 as the B-side to the number one hit "Travellin' Light".

‘The Day I Met Marie’ is a song by Cliff Richard, released as single in August 1967. The song was written by Hank Marvin and produced by Norrie Paramor.

‘Constantly (L'Edera)’ is a 1964 song by Cliff Richard in an English language song with music based on "L'Edera".

‘Spanish Harlem’ is a song recorded by Ben E. King in 1960 for Atco Records. Cliff Richard released his rendition on his 1962 album ‘32 Minutes and 17 Seconds’.

‘Travellin' Light’ is a UK No. 1 single recorded by Cliff Richard and The Shadows and released in 1959.

‘Dreamin' is a song recorded by Cliff Richard from his 1980 album, I'm No Hero.

‘Take Special Care’ is a song by Cliff Richard off the self-titled studio album and was released in 1965.

‘Visions’ is a song released in 1966 by Cliff Richard. The song spent 12 weeks on the UK's Record Retailer chart, peaking at No. 7.

‘It's All in the Game’ is a pop song written by Charles G. Dawes. Cliff Richard’s version had a number two hit in the United Kingdom in 1963.

‘Gee Whizz It's You’ is a song by Cliff Richard and the Shadows, released as a single in March 1961 from their album ‘Me and My Shadows’.

‘It'll Be Me’ is a song written by Jack Clement. Cliff Richard and the Shadows released their version as the A-side of a single in August 1962.

‘Theme for a Dream’ is a song by Cliff Richard and The Shadows, released as a single in February 1961. It peaked at number 3 on the UK Singles Chart.

‘I Love You’ is the fourth UK number-one hit single by Cliff Richard and the Shadows and was released in 1960.

‘I Only Came To Say Goodbye’ is a song by Cliff Richard off the self-titled studio album and was released in 1965.

‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow – What A Wonderful World’ is a medley by Hawaiian singer Israel Kamakawiwoʻole. Cliff Richard recorded his own version of the medley, released as a single from the 2001 album ‘Wanted’.

‘Goodbye Sam Hello Samantha’ is a song by Cliff Richard, released as a single in May 1970. It peaked at number 6 on the UK Singles Chart.

‘Power to All Our Friends’ is a song by Cliff Richard It was released as a single in 1973 and reached number 4 in the UK Singles Chart.

‘Wired for Sound’ is a song by Cliff Richard, released in September 1981 from the Album of the same name and peaked at number 4 in the UK album charts.

Fika with Vicky’s returning guest this week is Author Sarah Archer. We’ll be chatting about our mutual admiration for Alice Munro, and sharing thoughts on writing, life, and relationships, found in her work and interviews. 

Alice Munro, known as a master of short stories, was born and grew up in Southern Ontario, Canada. Her writing is honest, and not always comfortable. encouraging you to examine the story you’re living in.  If you’re looking for an example of an authentic voice, you’ll find it in her work. Ms. Munro won the Nobel prize in Literature, in 2013.

Sarah Archer's debut novel, The Plus One, was published by Putnam in the US and received a starred review from Booklist. It has also been published in the UK, Germany, and Japan, and is currently in development for television. As a screenwriter, she has developed material for MTV Entertainment, Snapchat, and Comedy Central. She is a Black List Screenwriting Lab fellow who has placed in competitions including the Motion Picture Academy's Nicholl Fellowship and the Tracking Board's Launch Pad. No, I haven’t found the exact word to describe Sarah’s writing, but I am willing to keep reading her work until I do. I believe this is one of those, “It’s all about the journey,” things. And this journey, so far, has been remarkable.

About the Book:
The Denbigh Lights – A Truthful Argument For The Existence Of UFOs by Gari Jones is a detailed account of a UFO sighting that happened in a quiet village in Denbighshire, North Wales on January 3rd, 2012. A family of four in the early hours of the morning at approximately 3 am saw from the upstairs window of their home during a windy, rainy, stormy night, a mystical oval outline that had bright lights coming from its exterior.
Video recordings were made of this object and the local police in the area were also called to try to ascertain what the object might be. Shortly after a local UFO researcher did an initial investigation and discovered some initial evidence that he was convinced that there was no rational explanation for this sighting. 

Six years later, the author (Gari Jones) came across the case and in April 2018 conducted an in-depth investigation and put together a video report concluding that indeed this was a genuine UFO sighting with great corroborating evidence.
This book details the full investigation carried out by all concerned. Photo analysis of the video taken that night and one-to-one interviews with all of the witnesses involved. Gari Jones puts together a powerful argument for his conclusion that the object witnessed that night in 2012 remains UNIDENTIFIED and UNEXPLAINED.
