A coverversion of the BR5-49 Song. Recorded with Garage Band at home during corona-lockout.

I didn't know the band 'till we were on the CountryMusicCruise together with Chuck Mead who wrote this song. Think it matches pretty well the mood of my corona home office.

The traditional song Deep Elem Blues recorded with Garage Band during the corona-lockout.

Never tried Garage Band before, so this was my first recording. Now it's remixed and partly re-recorded with Logic Pro. Like them Kazoos though ;-)

The song 'Natural born Boogie' was written by the great Steve Mariott and originally recorded in 1969 by Humble Pie. The three guitarists (Steve Mariott, Peter Frampton, Greg Ridley) sang a verse each.

It was one of the first 45rpm singles I bought and one of the songs we covered with RockZirkus in the 80ies.

Natural Born Boogie - Stevie's Garage

The song 'Homeless Guitar' was written and recorded by 38 Special on their 1997 Album 'Resolution'. I understand it as a song about a busker travelling the world with his 'homeless guitar'.

I tried to keep it simple, at least compared to others of my Garageband-Corona-Songs 😇

Lucky Man - Stevie's Garage

"Summertime" by George Gershwin is one of the most covered songs in history of modern music. It's part of the musical Porgy and Bess. There are four versions of the song in this musical.

The song was always with me since I heard it played by a local Swiss band with Gloria Niemann on vocals. I played the song on the occasion of my son's confirmation with Andreas Renggli on the church organ. Here's now an instrumental version recorded with some of my guitars (Levin C10, Ibanez 2355, Gibson ES 335TD, japanese Fender Precision bass) - with a little hint to a Zeppelin song (Mellotron flute plugin), strings and Hammond B3; maybe the last Garageband song, as I plan to buy another recording software. So let's look forward to next summer 🎸😎🎸

One more garageband-all-time-favorite-homerecording-song: Fire Lake by Bob Seger. Not a typical Bob Seger Song as he says himself about it: "The lyric is very ... different ... and very kind of unique. It's about taking risks. About risking love, chucking it all and just heading off with a bunch of wild people, whatever. It's sort of an R&B meets country kind of thing"

Up in Smoke has been with me since the beginning of the 80s when the film by Cheech and Chong was shown in our cinema for the first time. 

After the cinema, I went straight to our private AJZ at the Chindlifrässer-Beiz and wrote this song. We played it a lot with the Swiss group RockZirkus and it became a kind of "Legalize-it" anthem. In the 90s we even had a band called "Up in Smoke" (today Juraya through a few detours).

I die to be with You Tonight is a track recorded by the Australian rock singer Jimmy Barnes. The song is written by Chas Sandford and initially planned for a solo album by Don Henley.

Like all the other songs by the "Garageband" it is recorded on my MacMini during the Corona-Crisis, learning to handle the Garageband recording programm

I'm a guitar player from Berne Switzerland. In 2021 I celebrated my 50th year on stage. I've been playing in Swiss Bands for the whole of my life e.g. Yours Truly, RockZirkus, FoolHouse, Up in Smoke and for 25 years with my buddy Buddy Dee & the Ghostriders. Sometimes as a pro, most of the time as a semi-pro. 

I started recording at home during the corona-lockdown in spring 2020. I use Garageband, Logic and a lot of my guitars, pedals and basses. Recently I bought me a midi-keyboard. So the only instrument I don't play myself is the drum.

I'm still practicing to find out about all the possibilities Garageband and Logic have to offer and - though I've been recording with my bands - still trying to find out what "producing" is about 😃.
