While working on completing my second album, I needed a break - and so did Miko. While he was asleep, I created a new track to which he happily added the ethereal sounds of his magic violin. 

Actually I think this is going to be a track on and for my 3rd Album which will probably be released in 2016 or 2017. :D

A deep dive into the mythical essence of the Amanita\ muscaria. This ambient track was performed live in a single take using a modular Eurorack system, creating rich, evolving, and psychedelic soundscapes. Mastered in Ableton Live.

The composers discovered each other’s work through solo albums previously released on Ultimae, and on a brief meeting in Paris in 2011 decided to blend their worlds of sounds and textures. 
The outcome is subtle and emotive. 

The nine tracks released on [ 9980 ] compose a ballad in atmospheric realms where finely chiseled rhythms and fluid melodies are sustained by discreet downtempo grooves and deep drones.

With a long history of writing electronic music, Henrik Laugesen better known under the pseudonym “Lauge” or as part of “Lauge & Baba Gnohm” still continues to express himself through deep and melancholic soundscapes ranging from beat-less drones to IDM/Glitch. So far Lauge has had several releases on labels around the globe, including the full length album “Sundays” Released back in 2008. Lauge released his second full-length album “Pusterum” in February 2015 and are now waiting to release a third album in february 2019.
