Julio Antonio Vasquez (born August 27th, 1992), better known as Sun Julio, is a hip hop recording artist, producer, and more. Born in Brooklyn, New York, he is the younger brother of Hip-Hop recording artist Ellz, and the youngest son of Reggae musician Rastadom.

Early Life

Sun Julio was born inside of an ambulance at Brookdale Hospital located in Brooklyn, New York, on the night of August 27th, 1992. About 10 months after birth, he was diagnosed with Wilms’ tumor, a rare kidney cancer that mainly occurs in young children. After many years of treatment and surgeries, miracles were made, he was declared free of cancer at the age of 5. After being inspired by watching his father and brother consistently work on music with passion, Antoni started writing raps and poetry as early as the age of 7 years old.

Musical Career

In 2007, at the age of 15, Sun Julio released his first full-length project, a mixtape titled 3 Day Project, under the pseudonym Thundaz. The mixtape was recorded in 2 days, with the addition of artwork and documentation on the third day. Julio began releasing new material on a consistent basis until finally releasing a nineteen-track mixtape two years later, titled Not Safe For Work Vol. 1 (2009). He then released a third full-length mixtape in 2010, titled Tomorrow’s Promised, which gained a lot of attention in many parts of the country, creating many opportunities to perform on a consistent basis. In 2014,  he released an extended-play project titled Minor Setback (2014). While continuing to gain enlightenment, He has released another project, "demons" on August 30th, 2016. Sun Julio's newest project, released in March 23, 2018, "The Wake Up" is now available on all major streaming services. Now with projects out like, "little by little," "BELMONT," and now "SEGWAY," Sun Julio has many more works to come in the near future.
