8 speakers are set up in a circle on a magical little island. The voices move around in that circle. They follow one another, describing, projecting, reflecting how this makes them feel. Listeners get lost in the ocean of voices, in the social play of following, leading, projecting, escaping, reflecting, rejecting. With the voices of James Wood, Emily Wright, Eva Macali, Charlotte Colmant and the voice impro technique Automatic Speaking by Antje Vowinckel. Produced during Field Kitchen Academy “The Curious Loop” 2020 with Hans Peter Kuhn (binaural documentation of 8-channel installation). Follow Me project was shortlisted for Prix Phonurgia Nova 2019 and funded with a stipend by Film- und Medienstiftung NRW.

Acht Lautsprecher stehen auf einer kleinen, bewaldeten Insel im Kreis. Die Stimmen bewegen sich entlang des Kreises, umkreisen die Besucher*innen. Sie folgen einander, beschreiben einander, mutmaßen, projizieren, reflektieren wie es ihnen dabei geht. Bewegung, Dynamik, Abgrenzung. Die Besucher*innen verlieren sich im wogenden Stimmenmeer, im gesellschaftlichen Spiel aus Folgen, Führen, Projektion, Entfliehen, Bewusstmachung. 

Stimmen: James Wood, Emily Wright, Eva Macali, Charlotte Colmant nach der Stimmimprovisationstechnik Automatisches Sprechen von Antje vowinckel.

Nico, aka Nico Ramirez, geboren in den Siebzigern in Arolsen, kommend vom Hip Hop, Reggae, Pop und Trip Hop wurde er in den Neunzigern Stammgast im Stammheim. Anschließend entschloss er sich, geprägt durch die schöne Zeit, selber anzufangen mit dem Auflegen. Sein Style ist Dark, Hypnotic Techno und House. Er gründete 2013 den Nimo Recordings Podcast mit seinem Sohn Moritz soundcloud.com/nimorec / soundcloud.com/n_ramirez mit Interpreten wie Pierre, Marky, Motte und vielen mehr weltweit. Nico ist Resident DJ bei A Darker Wave in England, Reykjavik Underground in Island und bei Cuebase-FM in Deutschland.

Nico, aka Nico Ramirez, born in the 1970s in Arolsen, came from a background in hip hop, reggae, pop, and trip hop, and became a regular at Stammheim in the 1990s. Influenced by this wonderful time, he then decided to start DJing himself. His style is dark, hypnotic techno and house. In 2013, he founded the Nimo Recordings podcast with his son Moritz soundcloud.com/nimorec / soundcloud.com/n_ramirez with artists such as Pierre, Marky, Motte and many more worldwide. Nico is resident DJ at A Darker Wave in England, Reykjavik Underground in Iceland and Cuebase-FM in Germany.
