New York City born, North Carolina bred emcee, Tuscon, began rapping at the age of 8 after being inspired by one of his favorite emcees and major influences, his mother.  She was a battle emcee who raised her son to choose his words wisely and honor the culture of Hip Hop. Tuscon continues to make “Mama Tu” proud by carrying the torch she passed to him, and she still makes him kick a verse on spot.  His other major influences are KRS-ONE, Nas, Big Daddy Kane, Scarface, and Outkast. Tuscon has made a name for himself in the North Carolina Hip Hop scene along side his brothers, The 1100 Hunters, a collective of Emcees, DJ’s, and Producers, who represent Hip Hop Culture to the fullest and were the originators of the famed "NC State Cipher" and The "Cipher Univercity" movement which spans across 7 college campuses across North Carolina. As a performer, he has opened for KRS One, Killah Priest (Wu-Tang Clan), Tanya Morgan, Cannibal Ox, Doodlebug (Digable Planets), Nappy Roots and Supastition.

In 2015, Tuscon signed with Golden Era Music Inc. An independent label, run by Finian St. Omer II, formerly known as Chaundon, of the legendary North Carolina powerhouse THE JUSTUS LEAGUE.  In the first month of being signed, Tuscon immediately began recording and released his EP "The Killswitchtu EP” on March 22, 2015, his first project since 2008's "Strong Arm Down". On January 11, 2016 Golden Era Music Inc. released a compliation album, "GEMUARY" which featured four songs by Tuscon which garnered more attention for him.  Shortly after, K97.5 (WQOK) Radio personality, Mir.I.Am, broke his single ‘The Quickening”.  This was the first time Tuscon was played on K97.5.  Tuscon is currently working on his next full length album, and first on Golden Era Music Inc, entitled "State My Case".

Tuscon is the embodiment of what an emcee is.  His razor sharp delivery, haunting voice, vivid story- telling, and the ability to deliver every word with immense conviction, makes him feared by other emcees and revered by those within ear shot of his astonishing word play.  Tuscon’s stage show captivates and leaves the crowd in awe as he masterfully commands the stage and connects with everyone with his electrifying performance.  His love for the culture is what separates him from the pack and puts him in a class by himself.  Tuscon doesn’t believe in “the crown”. His focus is to contribute to the culture and make it stronger one verse at a time.  Over all, his combination of lyrical excellence and memorable performance style continues to make Tuscon a staple in the Hip Hop community and one of the premier artists to watch.
