Ahead of Transmissions from Hackney, taking place across ten venues in Hackney Wick on October 7, we headed down to the Netil studio for a day celebrating the sounds of this year's event.

With mixes from Adam Pits, DJ Teeth, DJ Wiggles, Faery, In2Stellar, Inner Zone, Jin Synth, Kit Seymour, Miro SundayMusiq, and Remove Me, the sets travelled from textural, ambient soundscapes, through to high energy trance and techno - a taste of what's to come at next month's festival.

His prevailing interest for different styles in music is responsible for his unique variety of classic elements and recent influences, whether as a DJ or producer. Currently performing on 3 decks Uncertain marks his DJing for being fast, proper & "telling stories". Travelling around the Globe and DJ-Support from the likes of Richie Hawtin, Ben Sims, Radio Slave, Truncate, Mark Broom, Carl Cox, Adam Beyer, Chris Liebing, Luke Slater, Paco Osuna, DJ Rush, Dave Clarke, Danny Howard, Eats Everything, DJ Bone, Danny Tenaglia, etc.. confirmes his recognition as an artist. After more than 50 Releases/Remixes on Labels like KMS (Label of Techno Originator Kevin Saunderson), Recycled Loops (former Label of UMEK/Valentino Kanzyani), Ingoma (former Label of Ben Sims), Primate,.. in the last two decades it was finally time to move on from Boriqua Tribez to the next chapter called "Uncertain". Founded in 2018 "Uncertain" shows the more frantic side of techno which - since then - gained in Releases on Labels such as Rekids, Beard Man, Truncate, WRKTRX, ANAOH, Kneaded Pains, Illegal Alien, Mindshake, Mind Medizin, Uncage, Suara or Tronic, just to name but a few..

At 5.2, it might be hard to see DJ Frank when she's behind the booth, but no matter how hard you try you will not be able to ignore her presence on the decks. With a varying and flowing selection that moves inbetween different genres and styles, DJ Frank has found a grimey sweet spot somewhere between electro and breakbeat, bubbling acid basslines and sassy vocals. Overall the type of beats to turn not only a frown, but also a club upside down. Utilizing this skill, DJ Frank has played in notable venues. With her collective @prude__ she has a residency at @radio80000, hosts events and offers DJ-Workshops, setting out to become any techno-scene-gatekeeper's worst nightmare.
