Profile: DJ Cat 

Neil Catlow AKA DJ Cat is a self-taught DJ specialising in Old Skool, Nu Disco and 1980’s Disco. 

Neil rapidly transitioned from a ‘Bedroom DJ’ to playing live gigs, on-line Radio and organising his own events:

It quickly became apparent to Neil that there are numerous barriers to a new DJ trying to break into the DJ market - despite plenty of ‘talk’, actual opportunities remained few. 

Undeterred, Neil grabbed the bull by the horns; he decided to organise his own gig. Focussed on engaging and supporting fellow burgeoning DJ’s - The Mix Factor was born! 

This successful event was followed by the ‘Mix Factor’ prize - the opportunity to play at Neil's second gig, headlined by none other than Anne Savage! 

Neil has battled an additional barrier; paralysed 17 years ago in a Motocross accident, his wheelchair has often put potential clients off; this looks like too much hard work and hassle. It is disappointing that disability still engenders this reaction. But fear not - Neil has a slew of friends and family poised to ‘Roadie’ for him. All he requires from you is the space to set up his adapted DJ booth. His ‘Roadies’ and Neil will do the rest. 

No venue who has taken a chance on Neil has been disappointed - all have invited him back.

As a 30 plus year veteran from Chicago, IL (U.S.A.) Raymond "RayDilla" Funnye a.k.a. Strong Souls, has held residencies at some of the hottest clubs in Chicago. He’s made numerous guest DJ appearances at many clubs, and venues. He has over 100 mix CD's to his credit, still produces, and for a decade, He was a member of WKKC' s Friday Night Audio.
