CAN'T SLEEP (feat. Devilish Trio)

The Massacre of Glencoe (1692) is one of the most memorable event in Scottish history, particularly for clan MacDonald.
Here’s my own version that takes its part in this remembrance: based upon both a bagpipe tune and a song by Jim McLean (“The Massacre of Glencoe” released in 1963) and on some new arrangements.

The final track of the album. This song is my tribute to Dusty Hill. The bassist and co-lead singer of one of the coolest bluesrockbands of all time: ZZ-Top. Dusty's bass playing was a critical part of ZZ-Top's sound for over 50 years and he also complemented the showmanship of Billy in an excellent way. His lead and backingvocals were also a big factor and the synchronicity with Billy made every show a great spectacle. After a period of declining health, Dusty passed away in 2021 during his sleep at the age of 73. Thank you for all those years of great music, videos, entertainment and inspiration.

Life rarely moves in straight lines—and neither does the music. Three Photons returns with "Contours and Detours", a winding, analog-rich meditation on movement, misdirection, and the beauty of the unexpected.

Contours and Detours is my take on Gershwin's Rhythm changes with my own harmonic substitutions throughout. Written in B-flat Major with a Key change in the bridge.

Contours and detours

Well this one is different . I asked Andrea to send me some mythical lyrics , which she did , and I put a basic idea for a song together . When I sent it to Axel to have a play about with it he completely transformed it into what it is  now . With his instrumentation and production , and Andreas fantastic and inspired lyrics , this is ( hopefully ) a joy to listen to , enjoy ! Next up on the 1st of November is a moody blues/rock song by Dave Cooper and myself , closely followed by 2 songs by myself . Me and Dave , and me and Gaz have just completed songs yet to have a release date , and me and Charlotte are half way through a new one . Thank you so much for listening .

Another one done from the album Wou-Wou & the Wormling, Bitzone, Stricknice, and I have been working on for almost 5 years now! You can definitely hear some of those 2020 themes in these songs. I feel like the world is starting to change and new themes will start emerging, so we had better finish up soon, lol. Andy sent me through a 32 bar Bass solo and asked me if I could use it. This is the outcome from that 32 bars. Georg's Wind arrangement and solos are as always, exhilarating and bring with them a special dynamic to the piece. Andy's bass, solid and sometimes unpredictable and bringing his unique style throughout. So thank you to both for bringing my piece alive and it's my pleasure and honour as always to share with you.

It's an interesting and fun exercise. 😉
I just learned from Frank that the  femal voice is an AI. Too bad! I spent time on this piece so I'm publishing it but you have been warned.

Two Hands But One Heart

The title comes from a famous Irish poem from the 18th century . Cill Chais By Aodhagán Ó Rathaille ,It is a lament on the loss of land ,love and freedom , yet the last line ,this title ,gives a hope for the future ,a wish for a different outcome ,  a wonderful weapon to combat such adversity ,something that is still so important today .
