The 8-track album entitled “Riding a Camel in the Middle of the Sea'' tells a story that travels through the warm and sweet waters of the Nile, feeds off the Cedars’ infinite energy and reflects the glory of the Alps and the truth of the Mediterranean Sea.

Almwaya is a musical project that takes you to an ethnic jazz universe by walking through a tunnel of electronic beats and synthesizers. And as singular as Almwaya’s music are the nostalgic lyrics, sung in a fantasy language that only makes sense through the colors of their tones, and vocal frequencies that balance the feminine and the masculine.

Riding a Camel in the Middle of the Sea will be released in 2022 on the Italian music label Garden of J.

Almwaya will be on tour starting in Switzerland in March 2022.

I'm super happy to finally (after some well needed Introspection & Silence on SC) share the first Artist Journey as part of "The LOVE Diary" with you (more Info below)...

This Mix is dedicated to NU...It's a Journey that reflects the Beginnings of my Journey into DJing and exploring organic electronic Music. This Set is very precious to me and happened totally spontaneous while playing at a beautiful Gathering among Friends. Intention of the Love Diary is to create intuitive musical Journeys with Releases from specific Record-Labels that inspire me to reflect their Diversity as well as their Signature in Sound...and while the Track-Selection is a spontaneous process with the aim of offering a "Label-Taste" it really is all about flowing with the Music and the present Moment.

The Inspiration for this Project originates in a Synchronicity of Happenings:
First I had the Idea to present Music-Labels that influence(d) my musical Journey on the weekly Radio Shows that I do with my dear Friend Christian aka MeToBe (@chrisseger) as Echoes from Venus (@echoesfromvenus) on Universal Sounds Radio, an independent alternative online Radio with Focus on Spirituality and Holistic Living.

In the same Time I joined "Ting", an independent, self-regulating Project that makes "Basic Income" a real Thing (more Infos about Ting you ca find here: www.ting.community) and that was co-created by another dear Friend of mine...

And than it struck me like Lightening:
While I give Income into the Ting Community I can give a creative Output for the global Music Familia and link the two together! And that is how this Series finally was born with a deep Purpose that fills me with Joy & Gratitude which I hope to be able to share with you here. ॐ

I composed orchestral downtempo electronic track then i recorded the voice of Ninka Nassif in her studio in south France. i then recorded my 5 strings violin to make answers to her vocal. Ninka put all her soul to make the track deep and tragic, reflecting the dramatic side of humanity, the inevitable feeling of distress, facing the dark side of reality. Ninka voice has strength to move your entrails, but it's also delicate to feel the women softness & makes us understand that we are all linked

BLOOMURIAN & Regenerative Activism!

This DJ set, released for the first time now with Agami Records, is an especially meaningful one to me.

I was at the main stage of Fire Flies Forest festival in a gorgeous location with lush forest, waterfalls, lakes, caves, and luminous green fireflies. The main stage (called the Crown Stage), was inside of a cave with drinkable spring water dripping from the vibrant moss within it. Other performances at that stage included Snow Raven, Gone Gone Beyond, and The Human Experience. It was an honor to DJ at that stage, which is what you’re listening to on this podcast. 

Regenerative Activism is a big part of why I do what I do.  I’ve traveled around the world for almost a decade, living at Eco-villages, visiting indigenous communities, working and performing at transformational music festivals, attending and facilitating Permaculture design courses. Now that I’m rooted in Colorado, I have a lot more time to finish and release music, and I’m grateful that my music can support regenerative activism in the world.

Ecstatic Dance Festival Holland 2023 Mix

Après une semaine incroyable, pleine de magie, de rencontres (comme son nom l'indique) et de voyages intérieurs, j'ai eu l'honneur de pouvoir proposer un set de clôture aux Rencontres d'EVI 2023. 

Assez peu de nouveautés vraiment dans ce mix. Ma démarche était de rendre à EVI un peu de ce qu'il.elle m'avait donné, et de proposer un espace de danse, de connexion, d'intériorisation aussi. Un espace où se côtoyaient bondisseur.euses et rêveur.euses.

Almwaya is a musical project that takes you to a World Music universe by walking through a tunnel of electronic beats, synthesizers and experimental sounds. And as singular as Almwaya’s music are the nostalgic lyrics, sung in a fantasy language that only makes sense through the colors of their tones, and vocal frequencies that balance the feminine and the masculine.

Almwaya are Maya Aghniadis a/k/a Flugen and Wael Sami Elkholhy. Maya Aghniadis is a music producer and multi-instrumentalist from Lebanon who currently resides in Greece. As Flugen, she performed at many venues in Lebanon and Europe and has released several albums, blending downtempo electronic beats and soulful melodies. Wael Sami Elkholy grew up in a musical family, born in Dubai and raised in Cairo. After moving to Switzerland, Wael Sami Elkholy released two albums with music on the border between the Orient and the Occident.
