La band nasce sul finire del 1999 per volontà del cantante Enrico Pulze e del chitarrista Simone Costadone. La formazione viene completata ad inizio 2000 con l'ingresso di Davide Manna alla chitarra, Salvatore Mango alla batteria e Giorgio Piga al basso. Dopo un inizio passato a proporre cover di diversi generi metal nei locali, la band si cimenta nella stesura di alcuni brani propri, due dei quali (la "storica Arabian Chaos" ed Experiment £.9.1.) finiscono su un promo cd dal titolo Chaos 3.9.1. ottimamente recensito sia in Italia che all'estero, fatto questo che porta al vaglio di alcune proposte discografiche che però i ragazzi del gruppo rifiutano. Dopo varie vicissitudini cambia la line up con l'ingresso di Simone Cappato al basso e di Matteo Gioacchini agli effetti. Con questa nuova formazione il gruppo effettua alcune date live e si cimenta nella stesura "complicata" di nuove canzoni. Finalmente dopo 8 anni dall'uscita di Chaos 3.9.1.  la band entra in studo per incidere "Controsigillo", nuovo lavoro in cui la batteria viene suonata da Loris Poletti. Ad inizio 2012, la Band ritorna nella sua formazione originale, pronta a lanciarsi in nuove avventure musicali.
Viene dato alle stampe un ep live "Live from the past" nel 2013, anno che vede anche l'abbandono di Salvatore Mango prontamente rimpiazzato da Loris Poletti che entra stabilmente nella band. Il 2014 è l'anno dell'ep Baghdad, primo brano in italiano della band, che viene accolto in modo entusiasta dalla stampa. Subito dopo la release il chitarrista e cofondatore Simone Costadone abbandona e la band decide di continuare con una line up a 4. Nel 2015 la band ritorna sulle scene con un remake di Elettrica Danza dei Litfiba per la compilation 30 desaparecido edita dal GRFC.  A inizio 2016 entra in pianta stabile nella band il chitarrista Denis Gottardo al posto di davide Manna






The Controsigillo got together by the end of 1999 thanks to the willing of the singer Enrico Pulze and the guitarist Simone Costadone. The two, after sharing previous musical experiences and then building a great friend ship throughout the years, decide to start with this project and create something bound to resist in the years to come. They beginned with great ambitions, but made sure to move short steps and to presever in their job without running the risk to burn out.
In January 2000 the two found the missing elements: Giorgio Piga was colled to play the bass, Salvatore Mango the drums and Davide Manna the guitar. With this formation, still lasting today after reunion in 2012, the group started presenting covers to the local pubs in order to make a name for themselves and to get familiar to live playing.


In April 2003 the group decided to record in studio, just to see if "we are able to get something good in studio as well as live playing". This is how a 10 minute promo called "Chaos 3.9.1." came out, including our two older pieces "Arabian Chaos" and "Experiment 3.9.1."
Live playing still is important for the group, the live exibitions successful, and this gaind the band a quite good number of fans even outside the local belt.
After a change of line up Simone Cappato (today in Drakkar and Mortuary Drape) join the band. The band play more than 200 live gig with this line up, but some problems of health and personal stopped the band activity. Only in the end of 2011 the band can start to work in a new promo named "CONTROSIGILLO", release in 2012
The band doesn't belong to any musical kind in particular; that's never been their main purposes many are the musical influences just as prog. rock of the seventies, thrash bay area, the Beatles, extreme metal... and so on.

Locus Animae è la pace inquietante di un silenzioso sguardo, l'armonia dell'intreccio caotico dei colori del tramonto, la malinconica serenità data dalla consapevolezza di Essere fra Passato e Presente. 

La nostra musica è una finestra verso l'essenza stessa di ciò che ci circonda. È il Passato contrapposto al Presente, l'Onirico che si scontra con il Reale. 

Abbiamo iniziato il nostro percorso musicale utilizzando il Black Metal come riferimento, ma scoprimmo fin da subito che ogni etichetta di genere ci stava parecchio stretta. Decidemmo così di concentrarci sul comporre musica senza porci alcun limite. Preferiamo definire la nostra musica come un Metal d'Avanguardia dalle tinte Oniriche. Vi conduciamo nella Dimora dei Sogni, un infinito viaggio fra il Passato celato in un Presente sempre più incerto.

Locus Animae is the disturbing peace of a silent sight, the balance between the chaotic weaving of the sunstet's colors, the melancholic serenity inspired by the consciousness of Being among Past and Present.

Our music is like a window to the essence itself of what surrounds us. It's the Past opposed to the Present, the Oneiric set against the Real.

We started our musical journey using Black Metal as a reference, but soon we realized that every genre label didn't suit us. So we decided to concentrate on writing music without stopping in front of any limit. We'd like to describe our music as an Avant-Garde Metal painted with Oneiric dyes. We'll lead you to the Dream Mansion, an infinite journey between an hidden Past and an increasingly uncertain Present.

BIOGRAPHY

Rexor from Florence rises in 2004 from the ashes of 2 local thrash-death bands. The first incarnation of the band was formed by: Hate (voice), Lupus (bass guitar), Andras (guitar), Irae (guitar) and Demian. In September 2004 comes out the first demo "Infernum Dominium", that gains excellent responses from the specialized press. Due to personal problems Irae leaved the band and was replaced by Storm. In 2005 the band released the Ep “Infinite Vis Obscuritas” with 4 new blasting songs in pure Rexor style. In spring 2006 the band fired the drummer Demian for musical divergences and replaced him with Pesten, a more blasting drummer that the old one. 
In early 2008 the band signs for Copro Records (UK) and in spring of the same year releases the first full-length album "Ain", distributed worldwide through Plastic Head. The album received very good review on both printed magazines and webzines, in Italy and on the whole European country. In late 2008 the band was forced to stop its activity due to internal members disagreements on band's music. In Summer 2010, Hate and Storm decide to change the 3/5 of the band, recruiting Dionysos on drums, Asmodeus on guitar and Dysangelium on bass. That new line-up signs a deep evolution in the sound of the band, moving from a pure, raw dark form of black metal to a more “melodic” and complex music dimension, contaminated by gloomy atmospheres not losing at the same time the aggression and ferocity of primordial black metal. The next Ep “Nox Obscura Sortis”, released in 2012 by Metallic Media (Usa), Black Dominion (Poland) and Eastern Voice Prod.(Malaysia) and the first completely realized by this line-up, goes straight to this formula, and the upcoming second full-length “Ut Humanitatem Caedant” exalt this aspects of songwriting at highest level. Through the years the name of Rexor spread constantly on Italian territory and over, allowing the band to share the stage with some of the most important name of the legendary black metal scene: Mortuary Drape, Taake, Aura Noir, Marduk and Carpathian Forest are some of the names Rexor has played with, creating in the time a very die-hard fanbase around them, ready to follow the band for every gig out there. “Ain” and “Nox Obscura Sortis” are almost sold-out, an important result reached by Rexor with perseverance and incendiary live shows, and they’re searching at the moment the best option to release “Ut Humanitatem Caedant” worldwide.
