The Water Bearer

I saw this breathtaking photograph a few months ago. It depicts a way of life that is so different to what I know. It inspired me to compose this piece - I gave it the title 'The Water Bearer. I hope that my music has somehow captured the essence of what I think this landscape depicts

The Water Bearer

I am a Cape Town based musician, composer and producer. 

I fell in love with music at a young age but only discovered the guitar quite late in life at the age of 17. I love Spanish music and was initially drawn to music by the sounds of my mom playing Gypsy Kings cd's in the home:-) Later I was profoundly influenced by a deep connection to classical guitar music through listening to recordings of so many proficient and talented performers throughout the world. 

My musical journey is an ongoing process of inspiration through discovery. I love all music and admire so many artists, there is such an abundance of talent out there in the world that I am continually influenced by.
