Auscultation of the Heart is the second album by Dallas band Pleasant Grove. This is the "lost record" released between the debut self-titled EP (Last Beat) and The Art of Leaving (Badman). It was originally released on CD by Glitterhouse Records in 2002. The album never made it onto the streaming platforms and has been very difficult to get. Marcus Striplin one of Pleasant Grove's two lead singers jokes that "[He] can't even get a copy of the record". If you are lucky to find this record on Amazon or Ebay then you will have found a lost treasure of the early oughts. Auscultation of the Heart is a masterpiece. It is easily one of the best forgotten records in the last 20 years.
