Coming off the back of his critically acclaimed Indigo LP, Icelandic Techno producer Exos drops a fresh EP full of his organic electronic grooves.

A1 harks back to the days of a simple, driving and addictive acid tracks, followed by some deeply hypnotic, icy rhythms on A2. The flipside’s B1 introduces a spiraling synth motif, its climatic effect another prime example of Exos’ unparalleled skill of pairing the sublime with the straight-forward.
Slowing things down quite a bit, the vinyl’s last track balances between atmospheric details and gorgeous basslines, conjuring up a mystical downbeat scenery.

Fashioned in much the same kind of organic texture, the digital bonus track builds upon the enchanted vibes for another percussive excursion into unchartered psychedelic territory.

Italian record label Unrilis continues its Rilis series with a hardgroove techno EP by veteran Spanish artist David Moleon.

David Moleon is one of Spain's most respected techno DJs and producers, famed for his captivating three deck sets, and exhilarating production style that fuses analogue synths with the flowing rhythms of raw percussion.

With a back catalogue spanning nearly two decades, David Moleon's music has been a feature of record labels such as Dstm, Patterns and his own imprint Moop Up. He is the latest artist to join the Rilis roster, which features music from others such as A.Paul, DJ Dextro, Ritzi Lee and Samuel L Session.

Rilis was a series that was originally launched by Italian techno icon Rino Cerrone before his retirement from the music industry, and the record label was recently relaunched to support the music of those who share his passion for underground techno.

"Soma" lifts the intensity with a freight train of a groove that orientates around the pulsating energy of an acid bassline and high-velocity percussion. The muffled tones of soulful vocal textures add to a ghostly synth line while the drums maintain a vigorous energy.

Soma label heads Slam, close out the year with a superbly crafted EP, showcasing their hypnotic & direct driving sound on the Flicker EP.

This latest release encompasses various disciplines and strips things down to a pure and introspective heads down dance floor vision.

Title track 'Flicker' has all that usual Slam drive and attitude as rolling drums and sharp percussion are bolstered with a pulsing, warping synth hook. 'Volitant' delves deep as subaquatic atmospheres and tones are processed perfectly, delivering a backdrop of hypnotism. 'Aggregation' strikes the final blow in this latest Slam release as driving and distorted synths sweep across a dynamic and vigorous track.

Bête imaginaire discovered composition through Hip Hop production, collaborating with an MC friend. His curious mind quickly felt a calling for new stylistic endeavors and was struck by a Techno lighting at Rex Club while attending one of its famed Automatik nights in the 2000s. Although spellbound by this music, his love affair had to remain dormant for a few years as ever-growing professional obligations took hold of his life. He has recently managed to resume music-making, invigorated by years of musical dreams and more than ever mesmerized by the limitless possibilities of the Techno language.
