From student to teacher, from heart to soul. That is the summary of the path that Andre Salata, the DJ, producer and college lecturer from São Paulo, has been taking. Die-hard fan of techno and its origins, of its simple complexity in constant evolution, he entered the world of musical production through his own connection to the art’s style. He grew in the area and ended up becoming a lecturer of electronic music production in a respected College in São Paulo.

Away from the classroom, Andre has produced an extensive discography. In constant exchange with producers, enthusiasts and students, his influences are constantly renewed and materialized in DJ sets which fill the heart and soul encompassed by the electronic music world. Andre has been gaining prominence launching releases by internationally renowned labels such as Get Physical, Noir and Transmit, as well as bringing his dj mixes to important clubs in Brazil and around the world such as Watergate Club, Sisyphos, among others.

Bio

Born and raised in Utrecht, the Netherlands. 
An avid music lover since his early years. Growing up in the 70s, rock music was the main focus, with Wessel becoming a drummer from the age of 8 and playing in bands intermittently since the age of 16.
Later he developed a broad taste for music. With the rise of the house scene in the 80s, his love for Techno emerged and has remained so ever since.
Since early 2020 Wessel has also been active as a Techno DJ.

Now it’s time for this week’s guest mix and helping me celebrate the Draw The Line’s 6th Birthday it’s Yozé a techno DJ / Producer based in Istanbul in Turkey. Her DJ-ing journey began in her bedroom, moved to her kitchen, to friends' studios, DJ contests at the University of Bogazici and then the DJ booths at Istanbul's finest clubs. In 2023 she travelled to play in Germany, Finland, Vietnam, and Sweden. Her 2024 diary is filling up fast with bookings in Finland, Germany, Sweden, Spain and Turkey. Her tracks have been released by Airborne Black, Animarium, Pure Black and many others. Earlier in 2024 she won the remix contest for “Bell” by Mha Iri which led to a release on Drumcode.

Welcome to my SoundCloud page, I am a DJ from Newcastle upon Tyne, 

I regularly play Techno, Tech-House, and generally a bit of everything on DJ Techneck's NRG Radio Show every Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday 

Influences on my sound from the past would be the likes of Carl Cox, Joey Beltram,  DJ Easygroove, and a tonne of others. There are too many to list! 

Modern DJs who influence me are Boys Noize, Mall Grab, Kettama, Sara Landry, T78.
Also, a tonne of DJs and producers on SoundCloud who are big inspirations to my sound.

I've been Djing now for over 30 years, and I love it more than ever. I do this as a hobby now just in my spare time and generally just have fun with it.

I'm not perfect by any means, and I never think I am, I just love all types of electronic music, and i love to bring new sounds to the ears of the listeners. I always have done.
