MILESTONE.. Not counting a few artist tribute sets or the odd live DJ recording from parties this is the first set of pure hardcore techno I’ve put online in several (5!) years. With my first downloadable hardcore set being a digitilized copy of a 1997 analog TAPE (…) this soundcloud profile is now officially a time capsule. 

Anyway. After years of brooding and then swiftly recorded in a secret Berlin hideout these are some 80 minutes of hardness, trying to sound at the same time modern and OG, fresh and true, deep and instinctive - not fast, but hard, etc etc. It’s recorded with shit mono equipment and too many channels on red, but HEY - what else is new! 🧘‍♂️

The strongest inspiration here, obviously, is the lithuanian prodigy @somniac_one, who after several years of being the pinnacle of everything hardcore recently crowned her success with also launching her own record label, Somniverse. Including no less than three of her tracks in this set was pretty much autopiliot (not least after having experienced two early morning Somniac One sets in Berlin earlier this year).

But there’s not only Somniac in here, there is also @kilbourne, @cera-khin, @Ybrid, Raven and Billie Eilish (all-in-all 50% female producers, as should be). There’s also an opening, impossible to follow up, with Swedish trio DJ Voldo, @fransbjork and @starvinginsect + a closing track from also Swedish producer @ludditt and an intermission with two short tracks by (Swedish!) composer Johan Testad from his Goliath movie soundtrack. 

The rest you will have to go figure and experience yourself.

- Augusti from France -
Augusti, a member of Duo Ghoul's Hammer, launched
his solo project with great motivation and experience
acquired over time.
Always passionate about music, first listening to a lot of
hip hop, rap, rock, metal. He discovered electronic
music at the age of 14 and it was a revelation.

At the age of 16, he began to compose Hardcore on a
Hardware machine, but very quickly he sold his
equipment and began to work with computer music. At
the age of 18 he started DJing.
Determined, his productions range from Industrial
Techno to Acid Techno while passing through Industrial
Hardcore and Crossbreed.

He has produced two industrial techno EPs for
Darkness Sprawls Records and recently a Crossbreed
remix on vinyl for DTK Records.
His DJ sets are filled with energy, rhythm, and Techno
style combinations, letting the public navigate and
evolve between the styles that inspire Augusti with
always the same vision: Industrial and Dancefloor.

Newcastle upon Tyne DJ. I started to DJ late 1995 early 96 mixing early house/rave/hardcore before DJing late nineties/ early 2000 mixing trance and hard house. Loved mixing stuff back then from labels such as tidy trax and nukleus records. Influences soundwise growing up were from bands like The prodigy to Djs such as Joey Beltram, Bass Generator, Carl Cox and the techno sounds of the DJ Easygroove. I had a big break from DJing for over a decade whilst I became a dad and did all the family stuff but recently after the kids got older I started to get the desire again to DJ. So I bought a DJ controller and quickly got back the passion I had early on. 
So on this page you will find I try and mix all styles of electronic music, from house to tech-house, techno, hard techno, trance,  rave, hardcore etc.
I try my best with every set I do and i know they aren't perfect but I don't ever make out that I am, its just a hobby that I have always loved.
