The fourth song of our summer series "We Can Solve Most Things If We Talk" is a hymn to Hope.  It is the enduring attribute of mankind to be able to think beyond the most painful circumstances and imagine a better life and a better world.  Peter is not just a fine writer of melody and lyrics, but a very able and eloquent guitarist and vocalist.  Oddrun graces this song with her angelic voice as if she were Hope itself, and in duet they give the song wings.  Seagull's synths, bass, and mix are ever sure and seamless, a true labor of love.

In my opinion the sound of the original is "retro", the videoclip is in American eyes risky, while in Europe it feels a bit 'vintage" in a good way. 

I surprised Jimmy with my spiced up vocalsounds (just a bit playing and having fun with changing the sounds) and he calls it futuristic... enjoy!

The music of Book 5 is an eclectic mix of styles and eras, reflecting the complexity of starting anew. German Schlager hits of the 1950s and nostalgic chansons evoke memories of the past and a rediscovered joy of life. Acoustic sounds, folk, and jazz symbolize the search for security and a new normal. Brit Pop, Swing, and Rock'n'Roll represent the dawn of a new era, while Indie Pop, Chamber Pop, and even a wedding march musically underscore the hope and the gradual blossoming of new dreams.
