This piano track emerged in the beginning of the lockdown in Vienna. The city of Vienna was suddenly quiet, but singing birds took over the space. The most magic hours were during nightfall, when the blue of the night set in. This is what this song is about. For Video Footage of that time see

Composition-wise, the piece has a recurring theme in C that is varied several times with individual unique sections in betwwen. At the climax it shift to c minor while fading out in C major again. While the piece is in general in a 4/4, the right hand becomes more and more triolic in the latter part of the piece.

This is a gentle piece of ambient ethereal music on a 150yr old piano that has seen generations of musicians and families play its keys transports the listener to a place of chill and memories no matter how many plays it always touches the heart.

JUNE  from SUMMER A Symphonic Poem

On my first trip to Paris, I visited Père-Lachaise Cemetery, excited to meet Édith Piaf, Jim Morrison and Oscar Wilde. But before seeing my heroes, I came across a mysterious statue, one I can finally recognize as of Euterpe, muse of music. It was the tomb of Fréderic Chopin. I wish I had know more about him back then, so I could leave flowers on his grave. Also, it's curious how, of all the people in that cemetery, he's the one I now could relate the most. A fellow composer, not that fond of the stage, but still longing to be heard.

Preludium Fryderyka

The Pièces froides are two sets of piano pieces composed in March 1897 by Erik Satie. Unpublished until 1912 when Ravel played them publicly, they marked Satie's break from the mystical-religious music of his Rosicrucian and Gymnopodies period (1891–95), and were a harbinger of his humoristic piano suites of the 1910s. 

The title Pièces froides, translated as Cold Rooms or Cold Cuts, is a punning allusion to the dire poverty Satie experienced during his last years living in Montmartre. In July 1896, he had been forced to move into an unheated ground floor closet (he called it a "cupboard”. The space was so small that Satie's camp bed all but blocked the door shut, and on frigid nights he kept warm by sleeping fully dressed with the rest of his clothing piled on top of him.

A Brief Muse on Pachelbel Canon

One of Picasso’s most powerful and politically charged paintings, 'Guernica' was created in response to the 1937 bombing of the Basque town during the Spanish Civil War. The monochromatic composition, filled with fragmented figures and twisted limbs, has become a universal anti-war symbol.
Musically, this movement presents a harrowing sonic depiction of bombing and gunfire. Stark contrasts in orchestration, sudden percussive outbursts, and dissonant harmonies mirror the chaos and devastation of war. The absence of color in the painting parallels the raw, unfiltered musical textures, conveying a profound sense of loss and tragedy.
