They call it the Art of Minimalism. Basti Grub's Skilaro EP on Deeperfect is a masterful expedition towards the unseen borders of sound. It is a heroic attempt to extract the most of every instrument, each sample, and any voice. The talented German carefully selects the tools. He arranges them beautifully in his own original version, and invites two other artists, Leonardo Gonnelli and David Pher to pick them up and build something completely new. Gonnelli's interpretation is a whole revision of the piece: it translates it into an energetic peak-time explosive, loaded with energy and groove. The two David Pher interpretations are set-edging pieces: a remix designed for the perfect warmup, and a sweet after hour sunset revision. Grub spoils us towards the end with an enriched vocal version, featuring Vito and Carry, to complete a perfect package and masterful demonstration of the much an artist can do with very few resources.

His recent output has been nothing short of a smorgasbord of piping hot treats like deep fried Oreos & lava cakes. Not all in this world is sweet however. Take for example, the biscuit. A 'Biscuit' is fluffy & rich, but don't drop it! Oops, too late, we just did. No stranger to the Main Course kitchen, line cook Jace Mek keeps dropping all the biscuits! Our customers get so infuriated that they blast off into orbit and become 'Inter Stella' with San Francisco's 219 Boys. Did you know we have 219 beers on tap? Alex Kaminski sets the scene with four original tracks in Wüste (Desert), summoning us to the fire dance ritual of a medicine man and his rattle, calling to the spiritual world. He will translate a sacred message to us through his music and dance.

The hint of a vocal; a bell that tolls; masterfully crafted layers and meshed instrumentation, such as synthesized waves with a church organ overlay - these are all signature Kaminski. The depth of the verses and the minor key warn us to heed the spirits' warning, while the upswing of the counter beat ensures a positive outcome. Get taken away, deeper into the trance with each track until finally the message has been received.
