Artemis Kontou is a composer and mathematician. Artemis started improvising in piano from the age of 13 and she composed her first song 'Classic' one year later. Although classically trained, Artemis incorporates classical, jazz, rock, and new age music elements into her compositions and musical structures. She also plays the flute, guitar and drums. Her compositions are noted for their expressive, relaxing, diverse influences, and colorful compositional style. Her first album “Memories” is focused on relaxing and soothing melodies. She is currently raising money for children with cancer by composing music. All the money from sales from her music are spread to charity organisations.
