Although Andrea "Fluterscooter" Fisher is best known for her popular line of flute and instrument bags, she has also released 3 albums of meditation and medicine music (Ayatunes), which are played in healing sessions and ceremonies throughout the world.  

The second collection of ceremonial music, Deer Magic, is inspired by powerful animal spirit guides: the deer. In medicine circles worldwide the deer are known as the Messengers Of The Gods and revered for their strength, grace, awareness and serenity. They are both spirit guides and life givers to the first people and their transcendent beauty is everywhere in the energy of this music. 

Andrea created this music after sitting in ceremony and realizing that music has the power to truly heal and to take the listener on a journey either during meditation, yoga practice, or just to provide introspection and peace.  

In late 2021, Ayatunes will be re-released as an app for 3D sound and spatial audio and will include Andrea's most recent project which was recorded in Belgrade, Serbia during the pandemic.

"Kuna Lullaby" was created after taking an excursion during the Panamá Flute Festival.  I've always been intrigued and inspired by indigenous people, and I had heard about the Guna Yala people of Panamá, so I took a taxi three hours from Panamá City and then a ferry boat to visit San Blas Islands and then a paddle boat to their remote island.  While walking through the Guna Yala village, I heard the most beautiful and pure sound of a child singing a kind of lullaby.  I walked down the dirt roads, following the voice and recorded it on my iPhone.  It still remains the purest voice I've ever heard, and I structured the song around it, adding flutes and India-based singer Mahalakshmi.  I've been told the song has healed many people in ceremony because the voice takes them back to their childhood and a time of innocence.

This completely free new project based in the website The HappyFlutist.com, TheMindfulFlutist.com and TheMindfulMusician.co.uk encourages each and every one of you to take just 10 minutes out from the hustle and bustle of modern day life.

'Moving forward with joy'  is by New York based flutist Dr Melissa Keeling and is aimed at giving yourself permission to move forward in your life, with joy and without any prejudice or anxiety.

When the music begins, simply close your eyes notice your breathing, allowing yourself to gently relax at the sounds enter your space... then when you are ready...just let the music take you where it takes you...any negative thought that enters your conscious mind, let it simply come and go.  Knowing that life is always bout today and never what has gone, you now spend the next moments letting you mind bring in what makes you really happy and reminds you that nobody has the right to make you feel bad about anything.  You have the choice to move forward with joy or to stay lost in the past.  

So just spend the duration of the audio focusing on the words 'I Am and will move forward in my life with joy - It's my decision and for me only! 

At the end of the audio, come back to your breathing and hold on to all your positive feelings, then gently open your eyes.

You can listen and meditate to any of these tracks whenever you wish. Just allow judgement and negativity come and go...this is your time!

Moving forward with happiness

When you are feeling tired and low, then it’s often very hard to see the bright side of things.  Some may say to you “keep positive”, but to be honest, whilst those that say that might be well meaning, if you are feeling low, frustrated or anxious, then telling yourself to be positive  when you want to scream, shout, cry or sleep cuts no ice with your mind.  

There are a few members of TJ flutes HQ (based just outside of London) who practice Yoga,  and some who meditate regularly and go on retreats.  There is even a flute player whose a qualified Clinical Hypnotherapist.   In discussing our findings with them, it became cleat pretty soon that we all felt that we should create something for the benefit of the flute player and musician.  Something that was easy to understand and with so many meditation and mindfulness books, courses, videos, audio and websites around, that we would create something very simple.  Something that was easy for the flutist to understand and work with, and who would understand and accept that they would need to give themselves a few minutes each day to re-charge their batteries.  Putting the idea to the company Board of Directors they were excited with the ‘concept and also viewed it as their corporate responsibility to make this work, and better still…it had to be free for all and they would cover the start-up costs to make sure that nothing was chargeable!  The ‘Happy Flutist website’ was therefore born.

s, musicians, psychologists and psychiatrists to give us their wisdom and coping strategies for when somebody is feeling strained and ‘low’.  Obviously, it goes without saying that if you are really not feeling very great, then you should seek professional help.  It’s a sign of strength when you do this and never weakness!

A Happy Flutist can and will unlock their own creativity and will ultimately bring joy to not only an audience, but more importantly to themselves.
