Next up on Black Seven Music, Leeds based artist Dan Barrientos delivers a striking new EP featuring a remix from Kubbo Records frontman, Gustaff - Shake It EP.

Hailing from Leeds, Dan Barrientos has become a mainstay on the UK scene in recent years. With releases on Libero, Laevo Music, Famille Electro Records, Youth Culture and more, he now makes his Black Seven debut - alongside Gustaff on remix duties - with ‘Shake It’.

First up, the title track boasts a perpetual and progressive groove-base loaded with captivating factors. The rattle of a rolling bed of drums and percs fly through its pulsating sub-bass - dissected by vibrant synths, gritty bass chords, emphatic fills and carefully placed vox injections.

Gustaff follows with his remix of ‘Shake It’. The Spaniard’s remix is a quintessential terrace-type number with a summertime feel. Still coming on strong in terms of groove and percussive potency, but opting to go for lighter feeling synths and gentler energy.

Last up, Trabaja cranks the tempo down slightly and turns up the cadence. An archetypal Black Seven roller, it’s driven by a roaring rhythmic sub and an array of measured percs. Its key bridge segments feature ominous vocal cuts and rising FX that stir upwards until you’re driven head-first back into the bulk of this dancefloor-ready cut!
