A slightly upbeat piece with a latin rhythm feel.  All around instrumental pop song.  I composed this back in the early 80's, but have just now gotten around to flesh the song out and complete it.  Finally!

01 Fiesta!

Walking Man is the complimentary song to "Lone Survivor".  Thematically, they go hand-in-hand.  Imagine the only way to keep going, to keep living, is to walk.  Always walking forward, but never having a destination...just walking to keep living.  And at the end of the day, dry, parched, beat up boots, hot, walking toward the sunset...you are the Walking Man.

Walking Man

Bounce 2.0 was originally composed in 1985, but it was totally different sounding song.  More straight-forward.  This arrangement, which was produced using a Roland Juno-G only, is more swing-like than the original.  The beginning  needs to be re-written and the solo section much longer, but it's not gonna happen anytime soon, since this file got deleted during a troubleshooting call with Roland...ARGH!  This is my second try at "producing", so be kind.  My mixing skills are virtually zero at this point.  But I do love the song...brass, solo sax, driving rhythms, thematic development, upbeat...TURN IT UP!  :)

Circumstance and Misunderstandings

Bounce 2.0

"Starting Over" was written a couple of years ago and evolved over several months.  I tried my best to incorporate the 3 thematic sections.  I mostly succeeded, but it's shaky in parts.  This song definitely needed a more experience producer at the helm, but ya make the best of what ya got, right?  BTW, the bass is WAAAY overemphasized!  You'll have to equalize out the bass in the lower hz to get a good sound.  You couldn't hear that the bass instrument I used had additional "depth" that was not replicating on my current system, so I mixed accordingly...D'OH!!!

Starting Over

My very first song recorded in my very first studio back in the mid=80s...had no idea what I was doing, so I started with a simple song...lol.  This arrangement is the newest version produced in my current studio.  Goofy name, but it kinda describes the sound I was going after.

The Wailing Ghosts Of Titan

Basically a jazz composition I wrote in college, but realized with synthesizers.  Little Elm refers to where we lived when I produced it and Bear's refers to us being part of the "Bear" community.  The Shuffle was just made up, but it did kinda fit...so Little Elm Bear's Shuffle...you have to imagine 2 bears shuffling along and dancing with the music.  This song was produced with my Roland JUNO-G and is also one of those files that was lost during a Roland service call...AGAIN!  So what's wrong?  Git to shufflin'!!!

Hello World!

Little Elm Bear's Shuffle

The original to this song was written again, in college.  It was one of the songs that I submitted to Texas Tech University for one of my audition songs for their Masters of Music Composition and Arranging degree in later years.  This version of "Strolling..." was produced in my studio, in late 2016.  It is also dedicated to my partner, my husband, my best-est buddy, Carlos Trevino.

Strolling With My Baybay (Carlos' Song)

This song represents my mom and my sister.  One meloncholy and almost sad and another angry, but bi-polar...LOL...but seriously, "It'll Never Be Right" came true for both family members...It never WAS right, so it will never BE right.  Sadly, my sister and mother didn't communicate the last 7 years of my mother's life.  
Interesting side note though, the production on this was what I called "garage jazz".  Recorded with very few re-dos and a hard, reverb sound.  I always liked the way it turned out, but I didn't pursue the "garage jazz" sound anymore after this one.

It'll Never Be Right Part 1 & 2

This song is loosely based on Todd Rundgren's "The Last Ride".  I went uptempo with it and of course, I couldn't replicate Todd's blistering guitar solos at the end of the song, but the overall feel is the same.  Unfortunately the only mix I have left is this one and the mix is muddy, but I still wanted my fans to hear it.  So cue the disco lights...
