Any artist is welcome to send us a track via freshonthenet.co.uk anytime between Monday lunchtime and Wednesday evening (or when we receive 200 submissions, whichever is sooner) - and all our moderators, including Tom Robinson, will listen to every track. If a track you submitted does not appear in this list, it’s probably because another of your tracks appeared in our Fresh Faves or on the BBC Music Introducing Mixtape during the last three months — we ask that artists featured on either wait three months before resubmitting to give others a chance. 

We also don’t accept short previews or SoundCloud Go tracks that can only be heard as 30 second previews, and tracks made private after submission, which cannot be included in playlists. You will be able to resubmit the track in future. Tracks (and remixes of tracks) that have been previously submitted, and tracks from banned artists will also be removed.

Anthony Kasper - Life Ain't Perfect (Preview)

Eliza and her band continue to joyfully trespass across the carefully tended genre boundaries of indie, gothic folk, and progressive art rock, whilst Eliza’s stunning vocals tell stories written in blood and shadows. 
With this new single Eliza and the band establish a more vivid and untamed direction for the music – revealing more starkly the darkly poetic lyricism of Eliza’s mesmerising vocal performance.  All set against the lush percussive rhythms of drummer Tim Skinner, and the rich textures of cellist Eva Wright and guitarist Jacob Browne.
As Eliza explains, “this is the sort of song you don’t just sing…you howl!”.
From the opening plucked arpeggios on the guitar and shimmering gong, Look At Me immediately demands our attention.  As the song unfolds into a deceptively jaunty rhythm masquerading as a circus-style waltz, Eliza draws the listener in with a sing-song invitation that feels strangely unsettling before breaking into a wildly emphatic chorus declaring that you can “drink your blood, and then repent”.  The song builds to a ferocious climax in which Eliza’s defiance is captured in the repeated phrase “don’t follow me.”  Fear has been banished, and the darkness has been made a friend.
