This nonchalantly talented cool cat first caught our attention with her powerful track ‘TaiNTed’, which our team has been voraciously playing over and over lately. Even though she is a newcomer to production, she promptly found her own style, distinctly infused with bold hip hop vocals and lively acid notes. If you’re lucky enough to catch her play at her Ill Behaviour or Time Trip residencies, expect her to attune house and disco to techno in the cleanest and sheerest way possible. Over the last year, she has been able to play with verve alongside big names in the thriving Irish and English scenes (Bicep, Big Miz, Loods, Salary Boy, and many more).

In the endless world of dance music, expect Paradiso Rhythm to recreate a mind-blowing rollercoaster of emotions through 90s-influenced gritty rhythms intertwined with euphoric head-in-the-cloud sounds and nostalgia-driven lo-fi beats. When we brainstormed about underground raw and deep house at plastic/vibes, the Kyoto-based hero Yusuke Yamamoto a.k.a Freischwimmer is one of the top names that instantaneously crossed our minds. His unrivalled style ranges anywhere between wistful and melodic bars to punchy and clean tunes. Making good use of 20 years of sharp experience in the field, the genuinely creative Japanese stalwart still manages to reinvent himself with an overpowering and toothsome EP released on Planet Gwer a year ago. Listening to his sounds is like chilling in a landscape brimming with Japanese cherry blossoms. Concurrently with his producer and dj occupations, he is also running the Canary Records label, which compiles with brio some of the most talented artists out there such as Rick Wade or Mike Sharon. 

In this 9th session, he ingeniously brings to the table thoughtful house cuts mingled with snappy nu-disco touch from Apparel Wax, DJ Steaw or Marc Brauner. Believe it or not, however hard you’ll try not to dance on this one, you surely couldn’t help.

The Manchester-based taste-maker embodies an idiosyncratic type of house that sounds both funky and euphonious, and gives a particular relish making it its hobbyhorse when it comes to production, always bearing in mind 90s inspired cuts. The purveyor of modernistic beats has recently gained ground in constantly rising record labels like Dansu Discs or SlothBoogie, releasing a myriad of gritty and unctuous nu-disco-infused bangers. He’s been running his own channel and blessing his 40k loyal followers with colorful left-field house and techno beats for 5 years now, premiering and putting the spotlight on top quality underground artists (remember the dreamy lo-fi trip from J.Albert that hit 500k views). With such hectic energy, his productions and edits unswervingly exude voluptuousness and zeal from influential 808 jams. The Bon Records vinyl-only label captain busily contributes to flourishing and scaling the Spanish house ecosystem, so that it has now become commonplace to catch him bless the crowd at in vogue venues and festivals such as DGTL, Sónar or Nitsa Club where he has understandably been holding a fiery bi-monthly residency for ten years or so. You got it; apart from being an ace selector, he is also a down-to-earth player and a house devotee activist locally.

Romanian native Chris first earned his stripes as a hip-hop producer at the age of 13 before being prettily brainwashed by techno waves in his late teenage years. His productions are undoubtedly reminiscent of timeless 90s house sounds from Larry Heard, Robert Hood or Moodymann, to name but a few. He is not the kind of artist you could easily pigeonhole as his musical upbringing has been filled with a smorgasbord of different genres. As a versatile chameleon, his sets never look alike, and you can rationally expect the unexpected, from groovy house and tasteful disco to dynamic techno and anything in between. He has now been playing worldwide for more than 10 years in the greatest clubs (fabric, Panorama Bar or Concrete), and has left his mark on the most prestigious dance labels (Mistress Recordings, Ostgut Ton or Quintessentials). To recap, he is merely one of the most talented artist around at the moment, but also a genuinely and unpretentiously music enthusiast.

Remember the spotless podcast he recorded for Resident Advisor two years ago, which made everyone unanimously agree on his talent including Spencer Parker and Byron The Aquarius. Hailing from the strong Latino community of East Los Angeles, he began his career playing in local backyard parties before expeditiously establishing influential and lasting connexions with the Motor City. 2004 was a watershed year when his phone abruptly rang with “Mad” Mike Banks from Underground Resistance (UR) on the line asking him to lend a helping hand to Galaxy 2 Galaxy and Los Hermanos live acts as a keyboardist. His musical imprint brilliantly oscillates between jazz, latin, house and techno jams with specific know-how. You might also know him as “Frequencia”, the alias under which he indulges in his darker side producing delicious fast-banging techno, or as half of the smoking-hot “El Coyote” project with his longstanding UR mate DJ DEX / Nomadico.

It all started out when he first heard house music at the age of 10. Being exposed to the eclectic universe of electronic music at such a young age, the prodigy from Israel quickly had the opportunity to develop his own perception of dance music and be involved locally in the scene. As soon as he reached the age of majority, he released his two first vinyls and promptly gained huge approval by techno representatives Sven Väth and Magda. Back in 2012, he started to officially produce under “Mike Sharon” cooking up the timeless “I Feel You EP” bomb we have been voraciously listening to at plastic/vibes. Later in the same year, he co-founded his own record label Ultra Knites with his like-minded UK-based pal Sem Marini. The mission has been crystal-clear since day 1: promoting artists that bring true chord-driven and authentic underground deep house & garage sounds. His electronic journey surprisingly first began with IDM and ambient melodies, which is the total opposite of what he has been brilliantly producing over the past decade. His sound epitomises powerful deep house cuts based on rough samples, groovy basslines, and warm pads. Besides unwaveringly dropping stunning releases on well-renowned labels like Madhouse Records, Shall Not Fade or Haŵs, he co-founded his very own one in 2015, logically baptised Ruff Stuff Music LTD. If you travel around Berlin, expect his name to be featured on Watergate, Sisyphos or IPSE line-ups along with the likes of Demuja, Dan Shake or Chaos in the CBD.

Although he has been in the game for only 2 years now, he has already made a name for himself thanks to mad releases in the local house and disco scenes. Actually, we cannot count how many times we have danced to his “Costa Rica” tune; a hard-hitting disco gem sampling Santa Esmeralda’s classic track “Don't Let Me Be Misunderstood”. Since 2018, he has been guarantor of a soulful and fearless house with smattering of trippy electro vibes in the UK and Australia.
