RuWavy, born Ruudmayer Robert on January 24, 2001, is a Haitian-American rapper, singer, and songwriter from Norwalk, Connecticut. He began his career in the early 2010s, gaining attention with mixtapes and singles like Hilltop Anthem, Feelings (a song with a sample from "No One" by Grammy Award winner Alicia Keys), In My Zone (one of the most predominant songs in his catalog), Rookie of the Year, and Do Not Disturb. His music often reflects his experiences growing up in the South Norwalk neighborhood of Connecticut, his challenging upbringings, and legal troubles. He's also known for his work with his label Monterey Records, promoting mental health awareness, and is actively on a mission to stop the violence.
