Midnite Gossip is a cinematic alt-pop duo from Calgary, AB, featuring Nicky Markin and Mickey Valenz. Known for their “pretty but gritty” sound, they blend trip-hop, electronica, and 90s alternative rock influences, drawing inspiration from artists like Portishead, Massive Attack and Phantogram. 

Their latest single, “Tightrope,” out on November 8, 2024, explores the tension of making difficult decisions with plucky strings and unpredictable beats that keep listeners guessing. 

Since forming in 2022, they’ve earned national radio play, charted on CJSW’s electronic charts, showcased at Canadian Music Week (2024) and performed at Satellite Music + Art Festival (2023) and The Calgary Tattoo and Art Festival (2023). 

With their debut EP slated for 2025, Midnite Gossip continues to push artistic boundaries, inviting listeners on a journey of growth and transformation.
