This the second upload for the soon to be released new album "Stars in the Bright Sky". Probably influenced slightly by Suede's "Dog Man Star" although it has none of that album's glacial, reverb soaked beauty, it stands as a fairly straightforward pop/rock song.

The inspiration for this tune came after reading a book about Sam Bellamy the Captain of the pirate ship the Whydah.  Despite the fact they were a scourge of the high seas, pirate ships also had their own on board band of musicians.   "The most popular of all the specialists on almost every pirate ship, including the Whydah, were the members of the vessel’s orchestra. Made up of trumpeters, pipers, drummers, fiddlers, harpists, and flutists, the orchestra played for the pirates’ enjoyment during their meals and in the evening." - Martin Sandler
