Bayside lead singer/rhythm guitarist and founding member Anthony Raneri has been waiting 10 years—since he formed the rock group in Queens, N.Y. in the winter of 2000—to make an album like Killing Time, which represents a number of firsts for the band named after his hometown.

The album is the band's debut for new label Wind-up Records after four releases on Chicago-based indie Victory Records, including Sirens and Condolences (2004), Bayside (2005), The Walking Wounded (2007) and Shudder (2008), steadily growing their following through tireless touring. Recording their latest at Dreamland Studios in Woodstock, N.Y., and Water Music in Hoboken, N.J., with renowned producer Gil Norton [Foo Fighters, Counting Crows, Pixies, Jimmy Eat World], Bayside finally had the time and resources to fulfill their creative vision.

The group turns Raneri's acoustic songs into full-blown, deceptively complex rock epics that touch on bitter endings (like that of his marriage on the first single, "Sick, Sick, Sick," and the angry, full-throttle rocker "The Wrong Way"), fresh starts ("The New Flesh"), band camaraderie ("It's Not a Bad Little War," "Sinking and Swimming on Long Island") and even a hopeful ballad, complete with a 20-piece orchestra and a horn section ("On Love, On Life").

"This is a new chapter, a new beginning for us," acknowledges guitarist Jack O'Shea, who joined the band in 2003 and has played on all five of their albums. "This feels like our debut release. Gil really encouraged us to push the boundaries of what we do, and not to become timid. Having that kind of encouragement from someone so accomplished really gave us the confi dence to be more creative."

One can hear that in O'Shea's various guitar sounds, from the Dick Dale/Link Wray surf guitar rumble which opens "Already Gone," to the gnarled, twisted solos in "Sick Sick, Sick" and "It's Not a Bad Little War," to the pneumatic rush of "Sinking and Swimming on Long Island" or the frenetic jam that ends "The Wrong Way."

"We wanted to make a big, detailed record, but still retain the pop sensibility that makes us who we are," states Raneri about the studio process. "Gil helped us stay on an aggressive rock track without losing sight of the music's commercial appeal, its ability to get on the radio. To achieve that balance was the plan."

For Bayside, the rest of its career leading to this moment feels like Killing Time, according to Raneri. "We had the time, the producer, the label to support it and fans who are ready to hear it. Everything was in place for us to make our masterpiece."

Indeed, Killing Time takes everything Bayside has learned in its decade in the music business and puts it on display for all to hear. On "Mona Lisa," another song Raneri wrote about his ex("Someday, I'll forgive you/But it still hasn't happened yet"), he tried an experiment in writing. "I half-jokingly call it my greatest accomplishment," he laughs. "It was an attempt to write a song with as many chromatic key changes in it as possible, without it sounding like mathematics. I was sure it would never make the album, but everyone seemed to love it."

There are also glimpses of the hard road Bayside has traveled to this point in "It's Not a Bad Little War," a song about being on the front lines and trenches with your bandmates ("We are the only friends we ever had"), and "Sinking and Swimming on Long Island," about all the ones that got left behind ("The harder you work/The harder you fall/You wake up one day/With nothing at all").

"Seeing Sound" has an operatic, almost Queen-like vibe, refl ecting Raneri's own love of Broadway show tunes, while the dramatic "On Love, On Life," is driven by piano and acoustic guitar, with pop tunesmiths Bacharach and David and Welsh crooner Tom Jones as the touchstones. The title track shows off the band's metal chops, with ominous Blue Oyster Cult overtones.

"I really think this album has the best elements of all our previous releases," says O'Shea, whose own guitar heroes include metal speedsters like Metallica's Kirk Hammett and Megadeth's Dave Mustaine as well as Slash, along with such jazz-rock muses as Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Allan Holdsworth, Al DiMelola and John McLaughlin. "It's the most representative of what we've always gone for as a band. It encompasses what our fans like best about us." With 10 songs weighing in at 38 minutes, there is no filler on Killing Time, an album, while not a concept, with songs that are organically connected and of a piece, like Green Day's American Idiot or Nirvana's Nevermind.

"We were trying to make the perfect album," says Anthony. "We've been trying to make this record for 10 years. We finally had all the elements we needed to do it. We wanted these to be the 10 best songs we've ever written."

"Everything has been leading up until right now," says Anthony. "Killing Time is about new beginnings, changes. This is our moment, the album we were supposed to make. A lot of bands that came up with us, we've watched form, get signed, get huge and then disappear. And we're still here... People continue to listen and care. We're living the dream." On Killing Time, that dream becomes reality.

"We're all just excited about the possibilities of what the next year holds for us," concludes Jack. "We've always approached our career with a cautious optimism. We hope for the best, but we're OK with whatever happens. We roll with the punches... but this time it all seems so much more tangible."

The Koi is an alternative/indie band from Manipur, India. The five members; Rishikesh Thangjam, Kamlesh Khundrakpam, Nongpok Arambam, Kumarjit Huirem and Sumit Lukram came together as ‘The Koi’ sometime in 2012. Jyotin Elangbam joined the band on drums in 2018, adding his touch of subtle percussive expressions to the overall sound the band has been developing since its early beginnings.
Rishikesh is the songwriter/singer of the group while the rest juggle guitars, keyboard, and percussion. Their proficiency in western classical guitar and an innate affinity to folk music of the region gives their music a character of freshness of sound and approach. A mixture of diverse and sometimes contradictory influences and inspirations, which is The Koi, is held together by an unmistakable sincerity. Koi, literally meaning ‘beard’ in Manipuri, is a signifier they have chosen to represent the essence of their music - instinctive, raw, and blithe. Childhood friends for long, the five eventually coalesced their musical pursuits and, during one of their many casual jam sessions in Shillong, ‘The Koi’ was brought about. 
Webcasted amateur recordings of their first few songs in English with just a laptop and a cheap mic garnered tremendous acclaim. Buoyed by the favorable response of a widening fan-base they broadened their repertoire to encompass the Manipuri language. They began composing Manipuri songs penned by the renowned late playwright Arambam Samarendra, who is also father to Nongpok. Their musical trans creation of the cherished text lends it a new incarnation and reaffirms the burgeoning of a musical tradition. 
They broke into the scene with ‘The Koi - the journey so far’ their debut concert held in Imphal in January 2014. Their performance was commended as a very original blend of native and western musical influences by many among the audience comprising of an assorted demographic of music lovers of the region. 
They released their debut album, Episode 1 in 2014.
They have released a follow up E.P “Eigi Wabu Ningshingduna” on You Tube on June 2018. And, three singles “Khangdaba Kaya Wangmada” on 2019 and “Lon Na Paokhong Challibi” on 2020 and “Leichil” on 2021 was released on Youtube.

On stage since I was 8 years old with my family, writing songs since I was 13 (We Must Let Go) and continuing to do so today. That's me (second from right) in the cover photo on my profile page. 
I have a lot of fantastic memories and have made a lot of lifelong friends because of music. I love the fact that I've been blessed with the ability to sing and write and now to be able to record it and showcase it here. 
I'm in Paso Robles , CA - and I am searching for a band to jam with and do some club dates. If you're interested or know of someone that's looking for a singer, hit me up.

I first played piano since when I was 5 years old, and started composing soon after that. I write in a variety of styles, from electronic to chiptune, jazz/funk, ambient, romantic, and more!

Tortured Soul is 100% LIVE modern, deep, soulful, house music freed from the DJ Booth. Influenced by the classic songcraft of Prince, Heatwave, and Kool & The Gang, Tortured Soul is a collective of incredible international musicians united under a groove-centered rhythm. 



Frontman and songwriter, John-Christian Urich, leads the group while simultaneously drumming and singing with effortless mastery. Bass (Ernie Mckone, Bryan Ladd) and keys (Isamu McGregor, Randy Emata, Joel Martin) combine to form the pulsating rhythm and melodic joy that is integral to the Tortured Soul sound. Recently, guitarists Adam Rafferty, Kurt Slabbert, and Mark Tewarson have been helping to expand the musical journey and unlock new live-musical pleasures. Likened to "The Roots of House Music", Tortured Soul’s sound is reminiscent of Neo-Soul groups like Jamiroquai or Brand New Heavies, while also being influenced by the contemporary freshness of House purveyors like Joey Negro and Louie Vega and Nu Disco artists like Soul Clap and Purple Disco Machine.

BASSFoundation is a crew originally formed in New Delhi, playing and promoting drum & bass, dubstep and reggae-dancehall in India and abroad. The collective consists of deejays Big Daddy Klein and Praxis, with Delhi Sultanate on the mic.

Formed back in early 2009, BASSFoundation were one of the first crews to promote drum & bass and dubstep in India, and the first ever regular night to hit New Delhi. Almost four years on and the scene is thriving, with a range of home-grown producers and DJs, and underground and established names from all over the world regularly touring the country.

BASSFoundation’s combination of the traditional reggae sound system format with newer electronic genres has drawn a large, dedicated following at their own jam-packed monthly nights in Delhi, as
well as numerous gigs across the country and further afield. Musically they rep a broad spectrum of drum & bass, from melodic soulful flavours and reggae-tinged sounds to deeper rollers, as well
as mixing things up with jungle, dubstep and dancehall. BASSFoundation’s ever-growing box of dubplates features specials by leading recording artists from Jamaica and the rest of the world.
Delhi Sultanate – with his background as a dancehall MC – provides unique and uncompromising, politically-conscious lyrics, reflecting the fiercely non-commercialist ethos of the crew. They have played to capacity crowds at almost all of the major venues in India, as well as being regulars at the Sunburn, Holi Cow and NH7 festivals.

In 2012 they were invited to play at Outlook Festival in Croatia - Europe's largest and most respected bass music and sound system culture festival, featuring the biggest artists in world. BASSFoundation were also asked to host the official Delhi Outlook Launch Party, which featured D&B legend Alix Perez, as one of three ground-breaking events across India (co-organised by Krunk).

RC [RIGHTEOUS CHILD   
During his school years at Gimmie-me Bit Primary and Kemps Hill High School, RC never showed his talent because he was extremely shy. In 2002 at the age of 17 he decided that since he was getting older he had to be brave and hence overcome the shyness. He teamed up with deejay friend Brasco, which resulted in them collaborating. This however came to a premature end in 2003 when Brasco migrated. RC decided that he will have to bounce back and trod the road alone. He started by performing in his community.     
RC fell in love with music from a tender age. He can remember singing along with the radio which at times would make his mother mad at him. His family is blessed with the talent of singing.   
When one sees the initials RC different thoughts comes to mind but at the 2009 staging of the “Magnum Kings and Queens of Dancehall” all 
was laid to rest. Ryan “RC” “Righteous Child” Campbell made it to the finals.   
He was born on October 21, 1985, in a town with an unusual name, Gimme-me Bit in the parish of Clarendon on the Island of Jamaica, where many great Jamaican pioneers are from.   
 After Magnum Kings and Queens, RC took a few years under the supervision of Donavan Germain to master his craft.   
For this Righteous Child, it is just the beginning. With the guidance of Legendary Music  Donovan Germain, RC plans to continue creating really good music that can help to change the Nation’s youth. He enjoys making Lovers Rock, Cultural and reality songs. To him music is more than just a person singing, music is real.   
Since with the Penthouse Family, RC has since released a number of Single which is doing quite well On Air in Jamaica, the Caribbean, the UK and other parts of Europe.   
RC also had the opportunity to perform on One of Jamaica's Top Reggae Festival "Rebel Salute 2014" and 2015. He also performed at Reggae in the Valley. He travelled to St. Lucia with Busy Signal to perform at the St. Lucia Jazz Festival.    
 Emerging roots reggae vocalist Righteous Child (R.C.) released his first EP, titled ‘Rough Survivor’ which features eight tracks. ‘The EP was released via most digital music platforms, and distributed by Zojak Worldwide.   
The EP remains consistent with R.C.’s socially conscious style, with a selection of songs that speak to motivation, struggles, triumph and inspiring change and self-reflection.   
R.C.  embarked on a tour of Europe on July 31st to August 30th, 2014. He toured countries like Belgium, Poland, Switzerland, Norway, Spain and Germany performing at Keep It Real Jam, Reggae Jam, Rototom Sunsplash, among others.
